Beautiful luxury room with soft beds with lovely crisp linens, Kuerig with pods, lovely solid wood floors and rain-shower with high end bathroom fixtures and solid doors. Motion sensor light in closet with plush his and her robes! Just fabulous!

Was awakened by the bell on the hour during the night and early morning. Since showers are slippery when wet a non slip mat should be provided . Saw the hanging note that I could request one. but by the time I saw it I was already getting in the shower. One should be provided for safety since there are no tubs .

Press Hotel: Ab Fab!

The Press Hotel's a fantastic place to experience Portland. The decor's calming and inspiring. The building's historic character adds a fresh spirit to the place, interestingly enough. The rooms are ample; the beds are comfortable; the bathroom is stunning. The fitness center is great--smartly stocked with dumbbells, treadmills, elliptical trainers, a peloton bike (!). I had a great 1 hour workout. Union restaurant is superb. The hotel staff were warm, welcoming, and full of great suggestions for how to spend a day in Portland. The hotel's in easy walking distance of so many sights and things to do--from the Portland Art Museum to the local cinema, music halls, and bookstores. And: the hotel provides free shuttle service to the Transportation Center. It doesn't get easier or better than this. I'd definitely book another stay in Spring or Summer.

Outstanding experience

Pros: Considering we travel for the experience, we loved staying some place interesting (or different) while still enjoying comforts and amenities.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Portland is a Foodie's paradise with an abundance of culinary experiences. There are also a lot of local musical and theatrical experiences to be had.
We were in town for one night for a concert across the street at the Merrill Auditorium and this hotel was right across the street. The decor is outstanding and refreshing. The themed decor celebrating the original role of the building in the printing and publishing industry was outstanding. The hotel's renovation was completed in May (according to the staff) and very well appointed with all the modern amenities. Ever detail was very well thought through including the motion sensor light in the closet, the bluetooth clock radio, the well disguised refrigerator, and the very convenient USB equipped power outlet.

Fantastic Stay!

Pros: Hotel bar, guest rooms, comfy bed, bathroom, decor throughout the hotel, lobby, everything!
Cons: Perhaps to hang some type of roll down shade on the bathroom door, as you are not able to fully "black out" the room. Not a big deal though!
Location: Perfect location as you are about 1 block from the start of all the cool shops, bars, and restaurants. Also very near historical sights.
The hotel has only been open about 4 months and everything is wonderfully new and fresh and thoughtfully arranged. I loved the decor, being that they kept with the theme of news, writing, letterpress, etc. Everywhere you look you see thoughtful trendy fun decor but it's minimalist and stylish. The room was very comfortable and again, very thoughtfully arranged. The bathroom was to die for! So clean and modern. And! I received a turn down service. After my room was already tidied up, i returned later that night to find chocolates on the bed and the bed turned down. What a wonderful treat! The valet featured a texting service to minimize wait. The hotel was happy to check bags for the day as our departure was in the evening and check-out time was noon, which is also very convenient. The lobby is so cool and the Inkwell bar is wonderful! I can't say enough positive things about my stay. Thank you!

The only place I will stay now in Portland

Pros: Valet service, the location of the hotel, the whole staff was great and made us feel welcome there, the room was nice and the bed was comfortable.
Location: walking distance to Fore Street and the water. Lots of pubs/restaurants/shopping within walking distance. Farmers market 2 blocks away on Tuesdays
This hotel was amazing. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Valet greeted us upon arrival and they were great. I accidentally left some giftcards for local bar/restaurants in the glove box, and they brought the car back around from the parking garage just so I could grab them. You can also call down or even text your car info from valet before you come down and they will have your car waiting. Very cool! The front desk was so helpful with checking us into and out of our room very quickly and for giving us information on local spots and phone numbers for cab companies (Uber is in Portland too). The room was great, the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was big and the shower was awesome. My husband loved the shower...he said it was the best shower he had ever been in. (It was a waterfall shower). The whole stay was great. We had no problems, and loved the hotel. We will stay here next time we are in Portland.

G4eat location. Great staff.

Stayed two nights at the press. Great central location a short walk to all local Portland attractions. Great restaurants everywhere. We stayed in a deluxe studio. Room was a bit small but the bathroom is large and really nice. Huge glass shower with room for two. The staff was particularly friendly and super helpfull. Would definitely stay again and recommend to a friend.
