The Inn at Northrup Station is my favorite hotel. My husband and I have stayed there many times. The rooms are spacious with great floor plans: two queen beds, kitchenettes, and couches. I love the imaginative decor. And the neighborhood is great--many restaurants and interesting shops. Plus close proximity to forested urban parks with miles of trails.

Free parking and free breakfast is always appreciated. The staff at the front desk were extremely helpful and very kind. The decor in the room was cute and mid-century modern and everything was super clean. The only complaint is the fan would not go off in the bathroom and so it ran pretty much the entire time.. otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room is spacious with a stove and a refrigerator and the dishwasher and the bed was extremely comfortable. The area is very walkable to all types of shops and dining truly a magnificent location.

The location is walking distance from the river front, Pearl District and downtown. The decor is really cool, and reminiscent of the Jetson's and Pee Wee's Playhouse. The room was big and had a full kitchen.

Decent price. Check in and check out was easy. Staff was friendly. Great location; close to streetcar stations and walking distance from food and shops. Streetcars are free with your stay! The hotel is kept clean. The room was cleaner than most hotels I’ve stayed at. In the room, the kitchen appliances and kitchenware were up to date. I appreciate their complimentary hot coffee machine and salt water taffy in the lobby. Breakfast options were good for complimentary (cereal, bagels, toast, yogurt, fruit, hard boiled eggs, cheese, oatmeal, granola bars). Only downfalls were that the floors are extremely creaky. Every morning I could hear the people walking around upstairs (very early). The pillows were too soft making it hard to get comfortable every night. Balcony didn’t have chairs.

Safe Parking. Rooms clean and decorated in a fun quirky way. I love the kitchen area. It had everything we needed for our stay. It was great that we could heat up leftovers and lounge in our room for a break. I will definitely be back and recommend to our friends. We had an incident in which the Internet was not working and the hotel staff helped up correct an issue in our phone that improved Internet quality. Brilliant customer service and not to mention free. salt water taffy if you need a sweet treat.

We rented two rooms for 4 of us. One room had a kitchenette and one had a full kitchen. Both were very comfortable and clean. There was a wonderful market and our favorite restaurant nearby, just a short walk away. The streetcar stop was right outside the hotel. Rooftop lounge was pleasant when weather allowed. Overall, a great place to stay!

We liked our staff at this hotel. It was great to have a kitchen as we were on a 10 day road trip and didn’t want to eat out every meal. The area felt safe and having parking was an added bonus. The person in room above us had very heavy foot steps but thankfully they weren’t up too late.

Tons of food options within walking distance as well as a fantastic market. We ate out during our trip but with the kitchen well stocked we could have easily cooked.. street car stop 100ft from main entrance=ideal. Friendly and attentive staff. Solid place to stay.

I I initially picked this hotel because of its proximity to Good Samaritan Hospital, but I ended up discovering wonderful restaurants and things to do within walking distance. Having the streetcar right there also encouraged exploration of Portland!

Northrup Station, a Unique Experience in NW PDX

Northrup Station is a sort of funky hotel in a great location--Northwest Portland, near the many shops, restaurants and other attractions of NW 21st and 23rd Avenues. And, as the name indicates, it is at the 21st avenue stop of the Portland light rail system, which is very convenient for getting around inner Portland. The rooms were very spacious and well appointed with comfortable chairs and a couch. A very nice breakfast is included but the coffee offered is NOT good. The hotel wears its funkiness and alternative nature proudly, but it is a bit run down, although very clear and well maintained. Free parking is another perk.

I enjoyed my stay here - the room had a colorful boutique feel, it was spacious and included a handy kitchen area. The staff was very friendly and the complimentary breakfast was a nice touch. The only downside was that the walls seemed a bit thin, so I could hear neighbors talking and playing guitar. Overall, a pleasant experience with just a little room for improvement.

Everything was wonderful. My son and I loved the streetcar theme—and the near-constant presence of them just outside the front door! The neighborhood is leafy and full of restaurants. And maybe most importantly, the hotel has the best coffee I’ve ever had a hotel. Worth an extra star for that alone.

We were pleasantly surprised. It was like having a studio apartment with all the amenities. Kitchen, dishes, full size fridge, dishwasher, stove and oven. It’s in a nice area with lots of restaurants and shops in walking distance. Clean and quiet. Check in was easy and parking was very accessible. We definitely will be back
