FIVE STAR EXPERIENCE

The W hotel in Fort Lauderdale was an absolutely wonderful 5 star experience. The staff is amazing. Everyone is friendly, attentive and fun. The pool has drink and food service which is so luxurious and the view from the of the beach is gorgeous. The beach has its own W hotel loungers and umbrellas and complimentary water bottles for hotel guests. As hotel guests, we got a $35 beverage credit to use at the hotel bar, 2 hour bike rentals each day, and other perks such as free popsicles by the pool and warm towels from the spa. This hotel is so beautiful, clean, and in a perfect location with great restaurants around. The restaurants inside the hotel are fantastic, so you don’t even need to leave if you don’t want to. My husband and I are making this our yearly February vacation to the W!

I’ve stayed at W’s all around the world and this one basically ruined the experiences I’ve had at all the other ones. Arrived at 1:00 and asked for an early check in and they said they would text me when room came available, then proceeded to not text me until 30 minutes after the normal check in time. Room smelled like chlorine over entire stay. The cleaning staff didn’t come until 8pm day 2 to get the room cleaned and didn’t do a good job when they made it there. Ignored by restaurant staff downstairs. I did have a good experience with the nice bartenders in the main pool area so that was the highlight of the trip at W Lauderdale. Do not stay here.

Everything about the W is 5 STARS! The staff waits on you hand and foot! The amenities are awesome and they bring a festive atmosphere to the weekends. The Spa and Gym, both pools, the restaurants, the beach, the rooms, they totally ROCK!
