The location is a neighborhood undergoing redevelopment, where many abandoned houses still remain. The trash had not been put out on the sidewalk, from the front of the house and the ground was dirty, lots of garbage outside of the house from other neighborhood. Upon arriving at the unit, the smoke alarm on the ground floor beeped continuously throughout the night, lasting until the afternoon of the following day. The refrigerator lights were not working, and the appliance failed to maintain a proper temperature. I informed them of the situation, but it was never resolved. All the windows in the property—both on the ground floor and the upper floor—were left unlocked.The furniture was broken, uncomfortable, and did not match what was shown in the listing. There were not enough sheets or blankets. Sitting in the living room or on the ground floor to watch TV was physically painful. It was like kids furniture. The cleanliness of the place is acceptable, though there is significant room for improvement. The kitchen contains old, dirty pots and pans and is not equipped to accommodate the number of guests indicated in the listing. Furthermore, you can hear absolutely everything happening in the second-floor unit; when people walk around up there, the noise sounds like a stampede. Even when they are talking a shower it sounds like we were in the same room. Also a woman taking on the phone in the middle of the steps going to the second level for over two hours in the morning.
