This is a great hotel for the price and location. Yes, the stairs are small, but a small price to pay for where you are.

What a shame. Fab location, but… Sadly, the attic room windows all condensed and dripped all night, leaving both the bed and clothes we’d left on a chair wet. On reporting this, the first comment from the man at reception was ‘I’ve been here since 1998 and no one’s ever said this’. Can’t imagine he’s been upstairs much. He then sent a lady to go upstairs to check…he seemed surprised when I accompanied her. By then, a cushion I’d placed on the bed already had a 10cm wet patch on it from the dripping window. All he could say was that he would let management know…he couldn’t have cared less. When I pressed for any type of compensation (the room was hardly cheap, and the sleep less than adequate), we were offered madeleines and a coffee…which we politely declined. No goodbyes. I’m afraid I won’t be back, nor will I recommend this place…maybe it’s time to find a new manager.

I did not have breakfast, which at 40 euros was pretty pricey. But there are so many places around the hotel to have breakfast that it did not matter. The room was very clean, but extremely small. Shower was a bit inconvenient. Too hard and no good way to prevent flooding. Bed was good. No Kleenex tissues and toilet extremely narrow, almost unusable. The staircase was very difficult to climb up with a bag. But overall for the neighborhood I was quite happy.

The Londres St Honore is advertised as a 3* and that is exactly what it is. Clean and comfy but basic rooms in a rambling old building off the rue de St Honoree so the location is excellent. If you end up in one of the top floor rooms you will find yourself wandering as if lost around endless corridors!
