Great Place

Excellent communication with the property managers. Very helpful. Clean and tidy place. Beautiful view from the balcony. Close to pier park so you really don’t have to drive over. Staff was very helpful and amazing. All the facilities and amenities were a plus. All together had a great stay. Would stay here again!

Our overall stay was wonderful. There are a few minor things that I would like to mention. I had to wash the throw pillow covers as there were filthy as well as the rug under the coffee table. The shower curtain in the guest bathroom had mold on the bottom. But overall we were very pleased. We will be back next year.

Needs updating and better cleaning service

Apparently the bunk beds had not been changed as we found cheerios in the beds. We decided to use the pullout mattress in the couch and when we opened it there was a huge yellow pee stain on the mattress and mattress pad. The rug in living room was nasty and frayed and all the mattresses need replacing as they are very old spring style mattresses. The Ice maker also did not work on the fridge. Such a great location but condo needs some serious love.

Week at Tidewater

My room was filthy. The door to the balcony wouldn't open. I sent pictures to management in response to an email of welcome, and request for information on how to improve our stay. No response. My sister's room had no hot water. Maintenance came but couldn't get permission to make repairs. The sun, sand, and restaurants were wonderful, as usual. Tidewater was terrible.

Amazing views!

The living area and bedroom access the balcony through glass doors. You literally see the ocean from everywhere in the condo except the second bath. I slept with the bedroom door partially open to enjoy the ocean breeze and the sound of the waves. Very relaxing! The furniture is comfortable and positioned well to relax and look at the ocean. Condo is nicely decorated and cheery. Kitchenware is plentiful, and while not top quality, adequate enough to prepare meals.

The views were amazing from this condo. The location is wonderful. The condo needed some updating. The pictures of the condo in VRBO are accurate with the decor. However what the pictures don't reflect is how dated the decor is. The couch is worn down and stained. The curtain linings are ripped, not just a little but a lot as well as being stained. The floor trim is very dusty and dirty. The top of the end table is bubbled up from dampness and wear. The washer and dryer have rust on the front of them. The showers were clean and acceptable but definitely nothing high end. The front door and bedroom doors could use some TLC. I contacted the manager to let them know the sliding glass doors in the living room were extremely hard to open and close. They asked if I wanted someone to take a look at it and I said yes please at their convenience. It never got addressed all week. The ceiling was cracked and peeling. I'm not trying to say this was an awful experience. It wasn't, I was just surprised at the number of things that have been neglected. If these things were updated, I would definitely stay again but otherwise I would probably would not choose to stay again.

All the necessities were there

We had a great stay at the Tidewater. The unit was properly stocked with everything we needed. The view was great from the 23rd floor and there are enough restaurants and stores near by that we didn't have to go to the car every time we needed something which is a bonus for us. Other reviews mentioned how slow the elevators in the building were, and they were not exaggerated. During check in times there could be a considerable wait. We just avoided the heavier traffic times and that worked well.

Gorgeous view

The property management was easy to communicate with, email, and responded quickly. We had a problem with the balcony furniture (worn/unsafe) and they replaced them on our first day with just a simple request. Our stay was during mid-late August and we had no problem with elevators. It was just myself and my husband and it was more than enough room to relax inside and on the balcony. I wish the check in was a little earlier but I think that had more to do with the facility than the property owner. Also worth noting check-in is 4:30 CST, we came from a different time zone and was not aware of the different time zone so we had some time to kill before check-in but that's on us not being familiar with the area.

Beautiful condo and gorgeous views.

The condo was beautiful and super clean. Views were gorgeous and the overall property is very nice. The only downfall of this resort are the elevators. The elevators are a nightmare and take way too long to access. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and will recommend this property to friends.

The condo was decent and had amazing views of the gulf. The beds and bedding were not great, and felt dirty. There was a limited amount of towels and wash clothes, not even enough for 4 people. The elevator was awful, with long waits. One time we got on, there was some sort of fluid on the ground.

Nightmare

Me and my wife have been coming to Panama City and Destin area for 12 years and I have never witnessed anything like this. When we walked in I thought my wife was going to cry. This unit was trash, the furniture was so nasty that we had to cover with sheets to sit on it. We stripped the bed and washed everything and spent 2 hours cleaning as soon as we got there. The outdoor furniture was tore apart along with the curtain over the balcony door. The smell was terrible and realized it was the a/c unit, I was able to find a new filter and change it. The door to the bedroom was about to fall off the hinges and is held together by drywall screws. The tv controller batteries are held in by the backing of a old stamp book, can’t make this up just crazy. The front door keypad and door handle was about to fall off and I was able to tighten enough to feel at ease. This unit needs to be gutted and completely redone, the pictures are from years ago. I took pictures of all this but I can’t post here to show how bad it really was. I hope no one else gets screwed on this unit.

Condo was nice with beautiful view. Was little disappointed of how ppl who not staying at the resort could just park theire car in a garage and go through the resort to use the beach so there for the beach was trashed and full of ppl. We rent out 2 beach chairs and umbrella for day and a half for 100$ and you would think you could have at least some privacy by doing that but ppl just pile up infront of you with theire tents and chairs and beach blankets it was almost hard to get through them to the beach . There was no complimentary coffee either. In all places I ever stayed coffee would be always available. Ice maker didn’t work either. One restaurant available at the resort but nothing to brag a about . And one little store. Wait for elevators was terrible as well. But overall it was okey balcony had a nice view it was good size for family of four.

Easy beach access

Check in process was super easy, fill out the emailed form in advance, walk to the counter and pick up envelope. Doesn't get much easier. As many reviews have already said, elevators can be a challenge at times, but mostly just during check in and check out times, we didn't think it was that big of an issue. Condo is as stated, it was enough room for our family of 4. Could use some updated pots and pans, we normally cook, so that was a little challenging at times. Balcony was wonderful, furniture on the balcony is a little battered but didn't prevent us from enjoying the view. Overall we would stay here again, really can't beat being directly on the beach.

Would not stay in this condo again.

Pay close attention to the May 9th, 2022 review, it’s dead-on. None of those issues have been corrected. The whole place needs an overhaul, like start completely over. Furniture needs to be cleaned at minimum, some pieces need to be replaced. The living room rug needs to be trashed. The light switches are gross, we wouldn’t touch them with bare hands (particularly the one in the master bath). Handle to the frig is very loose, about to fall off. Furniture on the balcony is junk. We washed all bedding before we used it due to a wad of hair being made with the bed. We also covered the living room furniture with extra sheets so that we didn’t have sit directly on it. The staff at the complex was very nice, no issues with them. The elevator situation wasn’t quite as bad as I expected it to be. The condo is the issue and it’s a big one. We’re used to staying in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores. PCB doesn’t compare and I don’t see us visiting again. We definitely would pick another condo to stay in. Also, check-in time was 4:30, not 4 as stated in the listing. We had a fun vacation and needed to relax. We were able to do that in spite of the condo not being as described in the listing. I’m very surprised that some of the reviews are as good as they are. I admit, I am picky and this place just didn’t cut it for us.
