I gave this unit a 3 star for several reasons. The only thing that it really had going for it was the location. The location is amazing. The facility itself was clean and kept in great shape for it being an older building. The unit itself is why the 3 stars came in and honestly the host should get zero stars because they never, not once, responded to any of my messages on any platform I tried. This is the first time I have ever experienced this when I vacation. Our last night there the temperatures plummeted and got down to freezing. The heat in the unit did not work and there was not a single blanket in the unit when I reached out to the host my text messages went unread. Which I thought was odd because the paper on the refrigerator said that was the best way to get ahold of them. The linens on the bed were not clean or at least that is how they appeared with all the stains that was on them. The futon that was supposed to used for the extra bed was so uncomfortable that I would like to see the host themselves make it all night sleeping on it. The other issues with the unit are minor but in the grand scheme of things they just seemed to keep compiling making the stay in the unit bad. The host will probably say “why didn’t you let me know about the housekeeping issues” and my reply to that is simple. You hadn’t responded to ANY of my messages or even answer your phone when VRBO themselves tried calling you so why would I think you would respond to one then.
