Hotels with Early Check-in in Paddington from $129

"Beware Upselling When we checked in, a woman at the front desk aggressively tried to "upgrade" us into a "better room" as ours was cramped and would not be ready for an hour, she said. The price of the "upgrade" was GBP150. We had already booked an expensive, deluxe category room so passed on this 'offer' and our room--which overlooked Hyde Park was lovely and roomy... but this upselling at the front desk put a damper on our stay. Subsequently, I heard the same woman and also a man at check in, try upselling rooms to other tired travelers. They were very aggressive. Do they make a commission on upselling? This is an unethical and unacceptable practice. When we checked out, another front desk attendant said there was a GBP30 per night fee on our bill but it was not mandatory. Could you please remove it, I asked. Certainly, she said...and we'll see if she did. We have no idea what that "mandatory fee" was for."

"This is an excellent property right next to Paddington Station. Very convenient for Heathrow express. The hotel was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. However, only tea in the room is no coffee, but there is a Starbucks just off the lobby, which was perfect."
