I had a difficult time appreciating the Park Grand at first as my room could use a little updating and there was a musty carpet smell. My sister had checked in before me, and sent me a text with concerns about the condition of the room. Do you ever wonder if you don’t get the best room because you booked under Travelocity instead of directly through the hotel? This was one of those situations. It was late when I arrived, so I stayed put. The next morning, in daylight, I realized how very clean the room was, and we had a lovely breakfast in a lovely dining room. The staff was polite and helpful. Yes, the room needs updated and new carpeting (I can’t speak for all the rooms.) however, the staff, the cleanliness and the location are all on the plus side. Five minutes to Paddington Station.

Nice hotel close to Paddington Station.

The hotel's staff was always attentive and helpful. The doorman was kind and caring and asked how our day went and engaged us in pleasant conversation. I have never traveled in the UK before, but the room for 3 was small, crowded. This may be the standard in Europe, but it's less than what I experienced in the USA.
