After you've seen Izu Oshima, venture out to explore the fascinating region of the Kanto area. Check out Kanto's ruins or fall in love with its beaches, coastal plains, forests and mountains. Common pastimes in this corner of Japan include snowboarding.
45 miles (75 kilometers) from Izu Oshima, you can find Isehara, where you can spend the day visiting Oyamaafuri Shrine and Jouhotsuganji Temple.
