We booked this property expecting a premium family vacation experience and ended up leaving after ONE night because the condition of the home was completely unacceptable.
The issues were not isolated or “minor wear and tear” as management tried to claim. The property had widespread maintenance, cleanliness, and safety concerns throughout the home that were obvious immediately upon arrival.
Ex: damaged sliding door hardware, chipped tile flooring with sharp broken areas, damaged pool edging that created a safety hazard, dishwasher with visible unsanitary moldy substance, a stove top burner that did not function, cigarette burns on the patio table and on the upstairs couch. Other visibly stained furniture throughout the home. The condition did not match the listing expectations or price point whatsoever.
We sent extensive photos directly to management. They acknowledged the cleanliness and wear/tear concerns. Their solution was to send maintenance workers into the home during our stay instead of providing a comparable relocation. We were then told relocation was unavailable because they were fully booked.
At that point, we felt our only option was to move to another property at our own inconvenience just to salvage the remainder of our vacation.
Although they eventually offered a partial refund and small compensation after we decided to leave early, it still did not compare to disruption, stress, lost vacation time, and additional expense of having to secure another property.
