This beachy urban gem is streetfront, wheelchair accessible, and newly renovated for your next coastal escape. The 652-square-foot open-concept floor plan features an urban rustic design and is more than three times the size of the average hotel room. It comfortably accommodates three adults or two adults and two small children.

The stylish brick and picket fence streetscape entrance leads to a large, welcoming living space. The lounge area centers around a warm gas fireplace set against a dramatic burnt-cedar accent wall. Settle in on the comfortable couch (which converts to a single bed) or matching comfy chair, and enjoy the 55" HDTV. A rustic coffee table provides added storage for games and cards.

The full kitchen is both beautiful and functional, featuring an aged brick veneer wall, custom stainless steel and John Boos butcher block counters, new appliances, and a portable stainless steel island with stainless steel bar stools. A hand-crafted, pub-height rustic dining table offers a great spot for meals, games, or hanging out. A custom ship's wheel and rope lamp fixture hangs overhead, while the pub bench and bar stools accommodate six comfortably.

A wall of windows offers views of the charming Nye Beach neighborhood, the local park, and the Performing Arts Center. Cafe blinds and blackout blinds are provided for your privacy and comfort.

The cozy bedroom nook features a new premium-mattress queen bed with an alternative goose down comforter. It is enclosed on three sides, with a privacy screen on the fourth wall, creating a true sense of retreat within the open space.

The large bathroom features a handmade Talavera sink and an ensuite closet with ample storage.

The Village location gives you the option to leave your car in its reserved parking space and spend the rest of your trip on foot, exploring the beaches, pubs, restaurants, art venues, parks, and shops of Newport, or to use it as a central point for exploring the gorgeous Oregon Coast.

For larger groups, this property can be combined with the adjacent Captain's Quarters to sleep up to 14 comfortably.

The location is wonderful.Unfortunately, there is a washer but no dryer. We tried hanging a few things but that did not work well. The lighting could be better; fairly dark with what is available and when you turn the lights on the light above the bed turns on as well so if 1 person gets up before the other that is a problem.

The flat is located in a really nice location, short walk to excellent breakfast and dinner, nearby places for your dog to do its business, beach access 1 block away, and a ton of free parking. Would definitely recommend.

Great spot near the beach

We really enjoyed being able to stay so close to the water and be able to walk to tons of restaurants and down to the waterfront area. Parking was super easy in front of the home. Perfect size for two of us and everything is true to pictures. Really enjoyed our stay and would come again on our next visit!

Perfect for a quiet getaway.

My dog and I had a quiet weekend to ourselves and this was the perfect, cozy space for us. I love the convenient location, with the kids playing at the park across the street, just a couple blocks from the beach and Nye Beach areas, and about a 15 minute walk to the Bayfront. Thank you!

Nice, snug place near a huge Pacific Ocean beach. Would recommend it for a couple, but not a family. Would recommend small creature comforts to take the place to the next level (beach towels, coffee filters, variety of ganes)

So close to everything

Clean, quaint great for a solo, or a weekend for a couple. Only drawback is if someone is in unit above, it feels like elephants stomping. Upstairs was only occupied 2 of the nights I was there so minimal affect on my stay.

Husband and I and one dog stayed for weekend. It was designed cute and comfortable. We had everything we needed. We would have liked two chairs to sit outside in the sun . (Red would be cute) We propped the door open for fresh air and light and sat on doorstep. Overall it was nice and clean.

Nice place, not ideal on the ground floor.

Nice place in nice neighborhood. Need some maintenance however. Kitchen sink is missing the faucet and sprayer. The noise from upstairs can be overwhelming. Lights can use a dimmer or a couple of switches.

Cozy and Bright Nye Beach Retreat

Much nicer than photo suggests. Very, very clean and fresh. Echo other reviewer(s): *absolutely* needs place to hang used towel, and *absolutely* needs two fold-up suitcase stands; these are deal-breakers for enjoying the unit. Really could use small or medium "cereal bowls." Iron was an unexpected plus and needed! Very comfortable bed and sofa. Very, very good location for beach walks and shops. Another table lamp would be wonderful.

Our stay at The Landing was disappointing, especially considering the total cost of the rental. We made a last-minute trip to Newport from Central Oregon with our 4-year-old and 10-month-old. We expected to pay more for a same-day booking, but the experience did not justify the price.Check-in was delayed due to poor communication from the host, and the property did not match the listing photos or what we would consider family-friendly. We encountered several cleanliness and maintenance issues, including broken and moldy blinds, dust and debris in furniture, Wi-Fi problems, and excessive noise from the upstairs unit. When we tried to boil water, the stove immediately began smoking, filling the studio with smoke. The vent simply recirculated air, making it difficult to clear the room.I notified the owner about the blinds, leftover trash, and Wi-Fi issues. While they offered to send a housekeeper, these problems should have been addressed before check-in. The studio sits directly on the street, and the broken blinds left little privacy.At the price we paid, we expected a clean, safe, and accurately represented rental. Unfortunately, The Landing did not meet those expectations. The only positive aspect was the convenient walk to the beach and shops in Nye Beach.For families, I would recommend looking elsewhere. This felt poorly maintained & like it hasnt been deep cleaned in a while. The rental itself felt inaccurately represented & ultimately not worth the price we paid.

Convenient, cozy, and comfortable ...

We had a two night weekend stay and the place was exactly what we were looking for. Everything worked great and the décor inside was comfortable and charming, including the queen bed !!! I've spend many years in Newport and have always loved the Nye Beach area and now over the past several years it's really been upgraded and the location of this place is right down the street and within walking distance of this quaint neighborhood with fabulous eateries. Looking forward to staying here again in the future. BTW went crabbing on Sunday morning and caught a cooler full of crab in 2 hours ... what a great weekend !! Thank you so much. Very expensive for what you get. Space was dirty, the fold out bed was completely unusable since it was so uncomfortable. You can hear every noise from the other people staying upstairs. I think this would be acceptable as a budget option, but the price compared to the stay is ridiculous. They also charge you a security deposit that doesn’t drop off until an entire month later. Check-in was rough. I received the access code and directions to the upper unit and entered a different unit that other people were in, which is a security issue. Host was communicative and got back to me immediately, but chatting via the VRBO app was very glitchy. I will say that the location is fantastic but again this should be a budget stay.

Property could use a deep clean and some updates.

It’s a good location albeit not with an ocean view. The pictures online make this property look like it’s very light and spacious. However, It is a crowded, dark, noisy, basement apartment with the bed right next to the kitchen. There is nowhere to hang anything up other than one small rack In a closet off the bathroom. There are no lights anywhere to sit and read a book and there is no cross ventilation After reserving for the listed nightly fee you end up spending an additional $100, per night in “other” charges. I would not recommend this unless you want a small dark space to hang out. It needs some attention to detail for comfort and not just cute decor.

Great location

Only a few blocks from shops and the beach. Across the street from a great little park. The room was clean and cozy, but had a few flaws. Only one light switch to light the entire apartment, so when one gets up or goes to bed, we both had to go. There were no cleaning products in the place, which was a bit frustrating. Also, no dish cloths or dish towels - had to use paper towel for everything. There was a toaster oven, but no baking tray to put in it. Also missing was a pitcher. I was intrigued by the little dishwasher, and we used it each day. Very nice touch. We did enjoy our stay, as the location was great and the furnishings and decor are cute, I was unaware that a rental could only have one exit, and was a bit concerned about the over-use of plug-ins and extension cords! That seemed very unsafe! Overall, I'd give it a C+.
