Close to EVERYTHING

This hotel is very close to everything, but away enough from all the craziness. Hotel rooms have been nicely renovated considering how old the building is. Our room only had half a shower door which made the bathroom flood every time you showered. TV didn't work. Nightly pb&j's were a cute touch.

Worn out, way over rated

I booked it because Travelocity had it rated 4.5 stars, and it probably was in 1985, today it is nasty, worn out and tired. I'd rate it 2 star. Staff we're 3rd rate also, what you'd expect from a motel 6. Desperate need of remodel. I'll not trust Travelocity star rating again.

Walking distance for everything

We went for a long weekend and found that everything we wanted to do was within walking distance to the hotel ( Bourbon st., Jackson park....). The staff was extremely friendly and their recommendations for restaurants were spot on. We even booked a swamp tour through the concierge and they picked us up from the hotel. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable.

Horrible experience

The start to my trip to New Orleans was not a very pleasant one. I arrived in New Orleans around 11:00 am ahead of the 3:00 pm check in at Le Pavillon. My room was not available to me until 2:58 pm. The reception staff had a very apathetic attitude and customer service was very poor. Staff at the hotel was more concerned with their own personal issues than attending to my wife and i's needs. I was so dissatisfied with my experience that i forfeited having house keeping clean my room during my stay. I would never stay at this hotel again nore would I recommend this hotel to anyone ever.

Fresh Paint

checked into our room...smelled strong odor of fresh paint. We were not in the room 10 minutes and we already had a headache. Went to the desk and they said all the other rooms were "spoken for". This is four in the afternoon....so I said "every one has checked in to all the rooms...." that is when they said they were overbooked. Then a supervisor came and said the whole building smelled like paint, since it was being repainted. They were not even very friendly or apologetic about it. We ended up finding another room at a much higher rate. Most of the town was booked up because of St Patricks Day. Very disappointed.

Beautiful but less than expected

We had dirty towels ( pool towels), dirty socks and someone walked in to my son's room while he was dressing. They had rented the room twice.

Great Historic Hotel in NOLA

Pros: it was beautiful, staff friendly, historic
Cons: concierge was not very helpful
Location: in the business district; in walking district to french quarter, WWII museum, the river, etc. Restaurants nearby
Beautiful hotel in New Orleans that offers a very historic feel. The location is great - in walking distance to all the sites, but just slightly outside of the French Quarter so it is a bit quieter, especially in the evenings. Great hotel for families.

Looking forward to staying again!

The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The staff was very friendly and my son loved the peanut butter jelly and cocoa bar every night at 10 pm.

No hot water.

We did not have hot water. We were told to let it run for 30 minutes, and it would get hot. After two hours, we finally took cold showers. After going to the front desk, they said oh you were not informed of the situation. NO we were not! Apparently, several pumps were down. We were reimbursed $50.
