North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here.

Mid-City has a rhythm all its own - second lines rolling past on Sunday afternoons, the smell of pralines drifting from a corner shop, and the distant clang of the streetcar just four blocks away. This three-bedroom home puts you right in the middle of it, whether you're here for Mardi Gras season, a weekend of live music, or simply to eat your way through one of America's great food cities.

Living space
The living room is where the evening starts to slow down. Settle in by the electric fireplace, pull up something on the 50-inch HDTV with Roku and Netflix, or challenge the group to a board game. A dedicated workspace with a door gives you a quiet corner if you need to catch up on anything during the trip. Central air conditioning, central heating, and ceiling fans keep the temperature comfortable no matter the weather outside.

Sleeping arrangements
Three bedrooms sleep up to six guests, each furnished for proper rest. Room-darkening shades, extra pillows, and spare blankets help you sleep in when the city lets you. Ample clothing storage and hangers mean you can unpack and settle in rather than living out of a suitcase. Two full bathrooms serve the group, each stocked with shampoo, Zoologics conditioner, body soap, and hot water on demand.

Kitchen & dining
The fully equipped kitchen is set up for real cooking - a Whirlpool stainless steel gas stove and oven, Whirlpool refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and all the cooking basics you need. Start the morning with the Keurig coffee machine, then gather at the dining table for a proper meal. Wine glasses, a baking sheet, and a full set of dishes and silverware round things out, so you can go as ambitious or as simple as the mood calls for.

Outdoor living
The private patio is a genuine reason to spend time outside - a fire pit anchors the space and makes it easy to linger into the evening with a drink in hand. A private entrance keeps your comings and goings separate, and the driveway accommodates up to three vehicles. Free street parking and a paid garage nearby provide additional options if you need them.

Laundry & essentials
In-unit washer and dryer handle laundry without any trips to the laundromat. Bed linens, towels, cleaning products, a first aid kit, and all the basics are provided so you can arrive and settle in immediately.

Location
The streetcar stop is four blocks from the front door, connecting you to the rest of the city without needing a car. The Caesars Superdome is a 15-minute walk - close enough to make game days and major events genuinely convenient. Trader Joe's and University Medical Center are both nearby, and the Lafitte Greenway gives you a green corridor to walk or bike through the neighborhood. When the Endymion parade rolls through, you'll be positioned perfectly to watch it all unfold.
