The room was nice and clean as was the ground and surrounding properties. The staff was friendly and helpful again except for the steakhouse made D there were not much amenities, but what they did have was nice.

Staff was all fabulous but the mater D at the steakhouse. He was horrible because we had the nerve to show up 10 minutes early for our reservation. The room was nice and clean. The food and choices were fantastic. The pool was a perfect temperature.

the room was fine clean and stocked but we needed an extension cord for one side of the bed for a cpap asked the front desk numerous times we were gave reply afrer reply with no results until late evening went the front desk again the manager finally disapears comes back with a brand new cord and I'm made to give a $20 deposit for the cord and a friend of mine got one for nothing and we were also told they only had one cord on the premises didn't feel as welcomed after this by certain staff after that other staff were superb in their service to all guests not sure if will return or look somewhere else on next visit to Bahamas

The rooms are severely outdated and felt unsanitary. We strongly believe there were bed bugs in the room. My girlfriend was bitten multiple times during the night, with bites consistent with bed bugs, causing intense itching and making it very difficult to sleep. The hallways were also outdated and had a strong, unpleasant odor. The food quality was inconsistent - the buffet was occasionally acceptable, but on many nights it was poor. The restaurants were disappointing overall. If we could do this trip over again, we would request a refund and stay somewhere else.

This was our 1st trip to the Bahamas and also first time trying out the Riu properties. If you have ever been to any of the other Riu properties this one is most definitely not a “palace” by any means: it is much smaller, noisy and crowded. I will try to share a balanced feedback of my experience. 1) Elevators: there are 3 sardine sized elevators with hordes of guests fighting to get in and out. Some mornings we waited 20 minutes before being able to get into the elevator. This was the smallest elevator I have ever seen at a resort. It can be frustrating if you are trying to get to a meal reservation or just checking out. 2) Food: I tried all the restaurants. The Japanese was absolutely the worst. Stick to the buffets for a surprisingly better selection of food. The restaurants are not worth the trouble. If you want to dine at any of the non buffet restaurants you MUST make your dinner reservations when you get to the resort. Otherwise nothing will be available. 3) Rooms: clean and no issues here. The cleaning staff were on top of it and did a fabulous job. The AC is very strong and can get cold. Blankets are paper thin so if you get cold easily ask for more blankets. They also blast the AC throughout the resort 4) Drinks: were decent but nothing exceptional 5) Staff: this is where the resort needs to pay the most attention. We have been to many other Caribbean countries and the staff at this resort is the LEAST friendly. They will do what you ask but don’t seem happy.

The worst resort, went to Riu to celebrate New Years with my family and regretted as soon as I entered. Old Bld, run down, no entertainment, nothing to eat….the worst time spent. And it wasn’t cheap, spent $12k for 3 rooms and would never, never do Riu

Several reasons it was poor - 2 pillows for a king bed that were bumpy and flat, bar service didn’t show several days, room not cleaned would just leave new towels and not take dirty ones, almost ran out of toilet paper had to get roll from a friends room.

The food was amazing and seasoned to perfection. From the time we walked into, or rather exited our taxi we experienced the most awesome professionalism, accommodation, welcoming energy from the staff. We would return to the RIU as a result of the good vibes and good food we experienced throughout our stay. However, we would like to see the rooms upgrades to match the quality service and good food. Also the spa service wasn’t appealing. I was asked to walk down and pay for my massage a day prior to actually getting the massage, I also had schedule time in the hot tub and was told there was no more space. This was a turn off. Can’t say I ever experienced the Bahama massage due to the inconvenience. Overall it was great experience.
