From checking in , no staff was available for 30mins. The price online was different from at the time of check in. No towels were stocked in my room, & when I asked for more they told me housekeeping was gone for the night! My shower water was only hot for 5 mins then freezing cold. My room smelled like marijuana terrible ! Never again

I can't begin to share the poor condition of the room. Large stains on the furniture, embeded dirt on the floors, the tub had rust stains and the ceiling looked like it's about to fall in. This is probably the worst place we've ever stayed. I told staff the room was unacceptable and was offered another room. The room had an order and I was offered Febreeze spray. While there we both noted an insect crawling under the sofa. Staff promptly ushered me out and she said that room was unacceptable. At 10pm I left and re-booked at another hotel. The issues are totally unacceptable at any price.

The room was basically perfect, the outside walkway area had a little bit of trash. The outside is a little intimidating but the room was really nice and clean. We were unlucky had a noisy neighbor for a day but that’s not the staffs fault. 8/10 would recommend.

As we were flying into Providence yesterday and reading some horrific reviews on this and other sites, I had buyers remorse! Smokey, old, broken, etc. were the words used to describe this place. I was a bit intimidated. Yet, reality was something different. We arrived to what was a Marriott Residence Inn in a prior life; one that has separate buildings. Old style. The gentleman at the desk was very nice and helpful as we needed a first floor room. We had a nice chat during the registration. As for the room. Let's be clear, you aren't booking at the Ritz. Styles are a bit aged and there is some wear, especially on the ceramic tiles in the kitchen. The carpets were definitely stained and the walls had minor scuff marks. The couch was a bit rough. The rooms had zero smoke smell. Zero. The entire property is non-smoking so not sure where those comments came from. Our room was well cleaned and neat. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. The TV had a ton of channels. There was a couch and chair as well as kitchen table. Bath towels were fluffy and very white. Trust me, I've written some scathing reviews where warranted but this one doesn't deserve it. I have stayed and paid for much more plush and new properties and definitely a ton of places not as nice. This is a decent hotel at a decent price. It is sort of out of the way but still within a mile to the airport and tons of restaurants. Give it a try for yourself.

The room was reeking of smoke and felt dirty overall. When I raised the issue, the staff casually offered to spray Febreze as a solution. Definitely not staying here again. The only redeeming quality was the breakfast.

Property is extremely outdated. Rooms were moist and warm and refrigerator and dishwasher reeked an awful moldy smell. Maintenance came the following morning after 10am and instantly the loft filled with gnats -really just made best of experience but never again. In addition the shower curtains, carpets throughout, and couches appear not to be well maintained with proper cleaning service.

Only in a pinch would I book this hotel

I was forced to book this hotel because nothing else was available after a late cancellation out of Providence. Because it was close to the airport.I assumed they had shuttle, but I couldn't find any information about it so I tried to call the hotel...4 times, no answer. Checked in to a second story (no elevators) "suite". Yes, it had extra space, but it looks like a bunch of college kids party there. Carpets were a mess, bathroom is very dated and it hadnt worn well. It was NOT worth $250. I wouldnt pay over $100 for it. Sonesta should be ashamed.

For us, this hotel was chosen because of the photos online. This place looks NOTHING like the photos. The firepit photos with the cushions...no...the firepit does not even work. The rooms with a fireplace, there are signs that you cannot use them. Also, the jacuzzi does not work either. The rooms are questionably clean. Not a $500+ a night hotel stay.

This hotel was a huge disappointment. The photos online were completely misleading and did not reflect the actual condition of the room. When we arrived, we were hit with a strong, unpleasant odor inside the room that never went away. The carpets were badly stained, bugs were visible throughout the room, and the curtains were ripped. The floor felt sticky just walking across it, clearly not cleaned properly. The shower dispenser was flimsy and barely functional, which added to the overall rundown feel of the place. We paid $330 per night, and for that price, I expected far better. Honestly, this is the kind of condition I’d expect in a $100/night motel, not something charging triple that. This hotel should be rated 1 star at most. I would not recommend staying here under any circumstances.
