Dear guest, Thank you for staying with us !

Very spacious room & accommodating staff

Pros: We liked the location, proximity to restaurants, and the staff. There is coffee, tea and water available all day and night for guests in the lobby.
Cons: There is no health club or pool, no room service, though you can get snacks and beverages for a fee any time at the front desk.
Location: Rue St Denis has lots of restaurants and entertainment, also Sherbrooke is a central artery that gets you almost anywhere in town. Close to buses/metr
Our room was lovely, very large, clean and nicely decorated. There was a full kitchen, refrigerator, dishwasher and a large dining table, as well as a spacious foyer with two chairs. There was a "step down" into the main room. The bed was comfortable but a little soft for our taste. The continental breakfast was acceptable, nothing special. The staff were very friendly and always asked how they could help us. Lots of great restaurants and entertainment nearby.

Unique hotel

What a lovely hotel. Such unique qualities an old fashion elevator, great loft with fully equipped kitchen, and a great complimentary breakfast each day. The staff was extremely helpful and gave great recommendations for restaurants.

Excellent hotel

Great location, beautiful room. I loved the originality of the rooms, very clean, quiet, couldn't hear my neighbours as the walls are concrete. Hotel is located off the main drag so couldn't hear the noise from the street either. Will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends. Staff was very friendly and helpful as well

Huge Rooms!

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
OK, this is the 3rd time I've tried reviewing this hotel, only to click "Submit" and it just got stuck loading, so this will be much shorter. Pros: Huge rooms, full kitchen (which we didn't use since we wanted to try Montreal's cuisine), nice breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, excellent location in the middle of everything. Cons: Room key issues (On 2-3 days we returned to find our room key not working and had to get it reset at the desk). Once we got back late and the building was locked and we had to wait a few minutes for the staff person to buzz us in - not a huge deal.

Great Location

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
Cons: minor room key issues
Staying here is definitely not the standard hotel experience. It's basically like renting a studio apartment - visible pipes, bed out in the open, etc. The room, as the pictures show, is very large, with a nice view. It has a full kitchen which I would've liked to use, but the food available around Montreal is too good to want to cook! Checking in, we were given a list of hotel rules (including "no loud music" and "more than 6 people must be approved") and were asked for a card for a $250 deposit, which gave me the impression that they've had problems with room damage and possibly the younger crowd taking advantage of the large rooms to pile in friends. The decoration is unique, ranging from lavish to spartan. There is an event space for locals to rent, which is pretty amazing. The location is perfect - right in the middle of basically everything, and a short walk to a metro station and the main bus station. My minor complaint(s) are: almost every night of our stay, we would return to our room to discover our key didn't work, and we'd have to return to the lobby to reset it. Also, if you get back to the hotel at night the doors are locked and you have to get buzzed in - once it was quick, but another time the staff member wasn't around and we had to wait a few minutes. No big deal, but a bit irritating. Overall, it's a great place to stay and I recommend it.

This hotel does not hold up to its claim

Cons: Nothing close, No free Internet, Noisy, Poor breakfast, go outside and take your life in your hands
I spent a lot of time researching Montreal hotels before we chose the Boutique Loft. Finding the hotel took an hour, because they did not have any sign in front of a long dark alley the only way to get to the lobby. The lobby consisted of one young adult sitting at a school desk with a computer on top. No security, no way to get our luggage to the room except carry it ourselves (4 stars?) The only good thing about the room was the comfort of the bed. There were only 2 towels, no phone, and all the windows were either cracked or broken. On top of this there was mildew on top of the windows and on the baseboards. The bathroom was nothing like the pictures. It was so small only one in one out. I asked about the phone and was told that they had not gotten that far yet. FIRE DAH?? The halls were dark with no lighting and above all there were beggers outside the hotel. We were back at the hotel by nitefall because of the neighborhood. It was a terrible experience. I don't know if they changed hands recently or booking sites did not do their homework, however don't stay at this hotel.
