Bed linen had stains of blood and we had to get housekeeping to change them. Stay longer than one night, housekeeping does not change the bed linen but casually hide below the duvet.

The hotel was fine. We got in quite early and requested early check in. Denied because "hotel full previous night". (?could they not change our room once one had been cleaned?). 2 hours later asked again, diferent concierge, again told "not possible". Asked 1/2 hour later, different concierge, very nice....(by then it's 3: 30 and check in at 4) and he said "your room is not ready, but I will switch you to a room that has been cleaned". Not sure why this could not have been done sooner. I realize check in is at 4, but in past, it hasn't usually been an issue as I'm sure there was at least 1-2 rooms ready at 1:00. anyway, the rest of stay was good, but it would have been nicer (and been graded 'excellent') if we could have had some flexibility (and obviously it depends who is willing when working at front desk)

The room we stayed in was extremely noisy. I asked at check in if it was a quiet room and was told yes it is quiet because it's on the side street. That was totally incorrect and we were not able to get any sleep. We couldn't wait to check out.

Pros: Every staff member we encountered was very friendly and professional. We liked the quirky decor. The room was pretty clean. Cons: The cute little container that was supposed to have earplugs was empty and cloth headboards in hotels gross me out so I covered it with a sheet. Found someone’s hair on the sheet (no biggie cause I always bring my own) and part of a glove flew out when I untucked the comforter. Loud sirens all night- glad I brought a box fan or I wouldn’t have slept at all- if there were earplugs it probably would have helped.

Brutal experience, so loud at night with the only alternative being an offer of ear plugs. The room felt very dated and could have felt much cleaner. We considered driving home at 1 am because neither of us could sleep.
