Close to cathedral, concierge contact ahead of visit. Check in mediocre, little to no mobility awareness for accessibility. No entry ramps, stairs only option into and in hotel (including rooftop terrace). Rooftop restaurant very noisy until 11pm. Construction in the area.

Loved this hotel. Convenient to everything in Old Montreal. A big shout out to Jonathan the concierge. He was fantastic for reservations, suggestions etc. Only suggestion would be to add room service.

The Hotel Nelligan was everything I hoped it would be. Booked it for my wife's 40th and the staff was excellent. When we got there we were upgraded to a larger suite which was a very nice surprise but what truly blew me away was the bottle of Prosecco delivered you our door. We truly enjoyed it over great conversation. The Hotel has the right mix of heritage and old world charm with modern touches. We loved the restaurant options and most of all it's central location I Old Montreal. The area is beauy and we spent the entire weekend walking all around the neighborhood. My wife absolutely loved the hotel and our room and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. I think we'll be back. Thank you again to all the staff for a wonderful visit.

Great location for Old Montreal. Parking situation was a little confusing upon arrival. Would recommend some signage as to where the pull in the car for valet as an attendant is not always outside. Room was great. Had a junior suite on Level 3 that was roomy and nice appearance.

Absolutely delightful boutique hotel. I highly recommend staying here! The rooftop bar and restaurant were the best I’ve ever experienced. The food, drinks, music, atmosphere and view made for an amazing evening. The room and hotel staff were also exceptional. I would definitely come back again and will recommend to anyone interested in coming to Montreal.

We had very much looked forward to our stay the Nelligan but unfortunately things did not go well. Negatives - breakfast at Mama C's was a disaster. On the 1st morning, we were seated and then ignored for 15 minutes - couldn't get anyone's attention to bring coffee or menus, etc. We left and went down the street to the Auberge du Vieux-Port for breakfast (it was excellent). The next morning we decided to try again (perhaps it was just a bad day) and this time we were seated and served but the food was just not good. Medium poached eggs were a runny mess served in a ramekin floating in butter and olive oil - there was simply no way to eat them with anything other than a spoon. The rest of the meal wasn't as bad but wasn't good. We also tried later to sit in the lounge for a drink and appetizer but again were seated and ignored for over 15 minutes. Went upstairs to the Terrasse and had a seat and a beer within a couple of minutes. Finally, toilet was not working in the room and the AC pretty much sounded like a helicopter taking off. This is 1st bad review that I've ever left so hopefully things will improve because we liked much about the hotel itself. Also want to point out some pluses - the front desk and concierge staff were very accommodating, the staff and food at Terrasse Nelligan were excellent and we also had a good meal and good service at Mama C on our 1st evening.
