My girlfriend and I stayed here for her birthday and we were very pleased. After a long drive up, the check in and valet parking was quick and easy. We arrived two hours before check in and the room was ready for us. The room was clean and modern however is was much smaller than what we were used to. Another drawback was there was no drawer space which was a struggle considering the two of us tend to overpack. The experience was pleasant. It reminded me of a chic dorm room. It’s located downtown so it was within walking distance to quite a bit. We didn’t take the metro but it’s only a couple of blocks away. If you feel like being adventurous, the Underground City is nearby as well. Because it is a major city there was visible homelessness nearby but my partner and I didn’t feel unsafe and they generally kept to themselves (it was cold so they were focused on keeping warm). Breakfast was included with our room and it served its purpose. It was buffet style and included an array of choices. The bar itself was well kept but not very lively (except one night when there was a group there). The kitchen was closed on Sunday night which was disappointing as my partner and I wanted a nice meal “at home”. The staff was warm and friendly, especially David who was a valet and helped with the check in. My partner and I would probably not stay here again because we prefer a more “hip” neighborhood but I would recommended it to anyone.

We enjoyed our stay at Monville. Staff were friendly and helpful and the location was good. The only thing I would mention, and then is just a personal preference, is that the rooms are quite dark (walls in the room and hallways are literally painted black) so it’s hard to see in the evening, and the bathroom only has a sliding door so it doesn’t offer very much privacy.

We didnt have breakfast at the hotel. For us, the cost wasnt worth what you would get and even though we had VIP status, the hotel would not give us the free breakfast. As well, in room dining was a joke. Not accessible and the app you needed to use to order was not user friendly

Hôtel Monville was a good choice. Great location, so many great places to eat and drink in the area and super close to Old Montreal. Check-in and check-out with the kiosk was seamless.
