My best friend and I had the perfect stay at the Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis Hotel. The room was clean. The staff were professional, polite and pleasant. The breakfast at the hotel was surprisingly good. Ate there 2 mornings in a row. I would highly recommend this hotel. The hotel's location is perfect. It is walkable to Beale Street and other attractions and yet far enough away from all the music and action. It is tucked away into a nice neighborhood right on the Mississippi River. Great views. Lastly, you can walk in any direction and find good restaurants.

My husband and I stayed here for New Year’s Eve and attended the hotel’s NYE party. The hotel itself is beautiful and in a fantastic location—right behind the Orpheum and within walking distance of downtown. If we were visiting for a show, I would absolutely stay here again. That said, I wouldn’t recommend the hotel-hosted events. Tickets were around $130 per person, and the value just wasn’t there. The band only played for about an hour, which felt very short for a New Year’s Eve celebration. The appetizers were great, but the NYE “swag” was very generic with no date or event details, and the ticket included only one glass of champagne. For the price, I expected at least a two-hour performance, a proper midnight toast, event-specific NYE keepsakes, and more than one drink. With those improvements, the event would feel much more worth the cost. It wasn’t bad. It could definitely be better. Oh! And don’t upgrade for the bathtub. It’s just a standard tub. Choose the view instead.
