Magoulas Hotel & Travel Guide
Magoulas has only one hotel option. So if you want to stay a convenient drive from Magoulas's downtown area, make a booking early.
The Elounda Gulf Villas And Suites, Crete Island, which is the nearest accommodation option, can be found 16 miles (26 kilometers) from the town center of Magoulas. For an alternative, you may like to check out the Blue Palace, a Luxury Collection Resort and Spa, Crete, located in Crete Island, which is 18 miles (29 kilometers) from the downtown area.
The Daios Cove Luxury Resort & Villas is situated 15 miles (24 kilometers) outside the center of Magoulas. Another place to stay is the Amirandes Grecotel Exclusive, which can be found 14 miles (23 kilometers) away. The Elounda Bay Palace as well as the Domes of Elounda, Autograph Collection are two other recommended places to book accommodation in Magoulas.
Researching so you can go a bit further afield? Crete Island offers many impressive things to check out. Learn about Crete Island's ruins, traditional villages and old towns. Those drawn to nature can also leave time to check out the region's beaches. In this area of Greece adventurous travelers may enjoy mountain biking, mountain climbing and hiking.
15 miles (24 kilometers) away from Magoulas, you will find Agios Nikolaos, where you can visit Lake Voulismeni and Port of Agios Nikolaos. When you spend a night or two in Agios Nikolaos, check out the rooms at the Minos Beach Art hotel and St. Nicolas Bay Resort Hotel & Villas. 30 miles (50 kilometers) east of Magoulas, you'll find Makry Gialos, which is home to the Mikri Poli Crete - All Inclusive and Villea Village. During your time in Makry Gialos, a couple of sights worth adding to your itinerary are the Diaskari Beach and Lagada Beach.
Just because you are on a break, doesn't mean that you can't indulge in your passion for a day of sports. You'll find Theodoros Vardinogiannis Stadium 25 miles (37 kilometers) to the northwest of Magoulas.
