Excellent location. Many very good places to eat. It's a "nights" onlyi Hostal. Internet was not functional. Head manager was not very patient with us...English speakers. Maids and staff were good. Sharing two bathrooms for 4 rooms was not what we expected. OK for a night.....

Muy buen lugar para hospedarse

Excelente lugar para hospedarse. El metro a 100 metros te lleva a todos lados, además los buses van por una calle transversal. La primera vez que experimentamos habitaciones con baño compartido, nos llevamos muy buena impresión. Todo limpio, tranquilo y atinado. La habitación con calefacción a radiador. Tiene un lugar común con mesa, heladera y microondas para tres dormitorios. Lo único que sentimos es que tiene mucho ruido porque las paredes parecen finas, igual como estábamos de vacaciones y paseando y de compras volvíamos cansados a dormir... Nada nos interrumpió el descanso! Recomendable

Good value for the price.

Bed and towel are very clean. The room is very small. It is close to mentro line. The biggest problem is that these is no staff between 12 pm to 8 am to let you check in. I had to sleep in the airport overnight before going to the hotel 8 Am. Good value for the price.

Doesn’t appear like the pictures, rooms more outdated but clean and the ‘private bathrooms / ensuites’ Are actually not private, they are shares with the rest of the apartment that your room is in. My key stopped working so had to ask reception for help and none of their keys worked either. In the end one did and they were very helpful but not the point.

Bed was very confortable actually. Nice matress. With hangers and yes, limited but not terribly cramped space. Nice two public restrooms for guests. Be aware... You would hear them so it can become very noisy. One block for train station. Madrid, spain metros in general are very fast so it is not close by walking, but super close by metro to the city centre.

Practical and clean

Good location, very close to the metro. There's a local supermarket where we bought breakfast, as well as nearby fruit stalls which were great! It's not a touristy area which meant we got a flavour for local atmosphere. The bed is comfortable although it was 2 beds joined together - may not be ideal for couples. Super clean.

Bit far from old city, close to sites.

This was the second hotel we stayed at in Madrid, and it compared unfavorably against the first, Hotel Mayerling. Despite that, it was oodles cheaper for a night, and guess location can make all the difference. This hotel is to the east of town and located a good 30 minute walk from the start of the gran via. If you don't mind taking a taxi to get around, or to start your day, this is a great spot. As for the room, it was clean, large, and had a balcony to the street. It was part of a 4 room apartment, with a common area and two bathrooms, not adjoining any room, but private enough. Very impressed with the appearance of the hotel in general, would recommend!

My room was small and comfortable with a private bathroom that was in good condition. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. The area had lots of restaurants and although there doesn't seem to be much of interest in the immediate vicinity there is a metro station nearby. I would recommend Hostal Salamanca.
