Our stay at Hacienda Encantada was incredible. The property is gorgeous. Our first morning, we went to the breakfast restaurant where the staff seated us near edge of the balcony in hopes that we may get to see some whales in the water below. Sure enough, as we were enjoying our breakfast we spotted several whales breaching the water. My kids' jaws just about hit the floor

Overall, this resort is outstanding. Although a pretty minor inconvenience, and despite being all-inclusive guests, having to sign for everything (even a bottle of water) was frustrating at times. It was an excessive waste of our time as well as for the servers.

The vegetation/flowers/hedges were beautiful and professionally maintained. The buildings of the resort were walkable but we greatly appreciated the golf cart service which was quick and frequent.
