This is an older property and the buildings could be updated inside and out. However, everything is in good working order and immaculately clean. The staff was very welcoming and responsive to any requests and questions. The location can't be beat for proximity to the Pier and Promenade. It is a very safe and secure area and we never felt at all uncomfortable walking to and from the hotel at night.

Locale was the main thing going for it. The bed was lumpy; the pillows were hard and lumpy; the lighting was poor, but the room was spacious!!

Never have i heard of a hotel charge $31 a car to park. Carpets were filthy and pet urined stained and smeeled terrible. Do not stay here.

This is a very nice non-chain hotel. My favorite aspect is its location: walking distance to beach and great dining. Rent a bicycle and ride the bike path to Venice Beach. Lots of fun.

Pros: Convenience
Cons: Rooms updated, overnight parking is pricey. Should offer free WIFI for price we paid for the room.
Great location, wonderful and friendly staff. We were freezing in the room. Turned on heater but it was clicking loudly throughout the night. Room could be updated but overall we were not unhappy.
