Great first stay
I regularly stay in London but the was my first time at The Amano. Overall a lovely hotel in a great location. Staff were fab and enjoyed the 7th floor bar. If available at the right rate i would deffo stay again.

Cramped Accommodations and Unwelcoming staff.
Our recent experience at this hotel left us deeply dissatisfied, and I feel compelled to share our unfortunate encounter. To put it bluntly, the room we were provided was a minuscule. A bed and a narrow passage were the extent of the available space, leaving us disheartened and claustrophobic from the very beginning. Adding to the disappointment was the unpalatable demeanor of the staff. A gentleman named Jeremiah, in particular, left a lasting negative impression. We were taken aback when he abruptly called us to demand a 15-pound late check-out fee, citing a policy that was never communicated during our check-in. This lack of transparency was disconcerting. Rather than offering a solution, he insisted that it was our responsibility to familiarize ourselves with Expedia's T&Cs. When challenged to provide evidence of this policy on their website, he fumbled, failing to locate the information he claimed was readily available. To add insult to injury, his response to our urgency, as we had a flight to catch, was callously dismissive "you will lose your flight." Seeking intervention from Jeremiah's manager, Svetlana, proved equally fruitless. Instead of addressing the unprofessional conduct of her staff, she chose to defend Jeremiah's aggressive behavior. Her unwillingness to acknowledge the hotel's failure to communicate essential information and her redirection of blame onto us for not meticulously reading Expedia's T&Cs was disheartening. Cannot recommend regrettably.

Had the smallest room type but found the room to be well appointed. Liked the clothes steamer instead of iron. Well designed space. Would have liked a make up magnifier mirror so I didn’t have to lean over sink and a nespresso manchine. No really coffee is a let down. The collect at reception services are unappealing. When I order something please bring it to my room! This is 4* not travel lodge. However, I did like this hotel and will be back.
