I’m the property was sold out during our stay. We had a poolside room and the pool was an absolute mad house. We knew it would be wild has it’s a water park but it was absolutely atrocious with the lack of parent awareness of their kids.

Not Happy With Stay

When I was comparing "apples to apples" online I had weeded out all except for two or three. looking more in depth at there advertisement, pictures, prices and reviews I came to decide on this one. The Holiday Inn & Suites lakeville by IHG. The main deciding factor was the indoor water park verbiage in the description. After checking into the room and walking down to this water park I come to find out that it is nothing more than a very small pool with one water slide that I couldn't even access. After multiple visits to this so called water park we come to find out that the gate to enter was locked and no one was there. We went down multiple times and the results stayed the same. We stayed there for 3 days. Also the maids never came to the room to clean or exchange towels or replace the coffee. We had a balcony room overlooking the pool, we found out to late that it was loud with kids screaming and yelling as they played in this pool. We shut the sliding glass doors and pulled over the curtains but this did not help. So if you are looking for a hotel with a water park this is not it. If you are looking for a quiet room this is not it. Also if you are okay with seeking out the maids for towels and coffee as well as emptying your own trash, then this is the hotel for you!

I regret having to write this review about our recent Valentine's weekend stay. While this hotel has previously been an excellent family-friendly destination with great amenities and dining options, our most recent experience was unfortunately marred by concerning customer service interactions. Our issues centered around interactions with an overnight staff member named Erica. There were multiple instances where the service fell well below expectations: first, during a pre-stay call to confirm our Expedia reservation, and later when requesting an extra blanket during our stay. Most troublingly, she hung up on my daughter during one of these interactions. Given the hotel's reputation for family hospitality and our room rate exceeding $250 per night, this level of service was particularly disappointing. As frequent visitors to the Twin Cities area, we've always appreciated this hotel's family-oriented atmosphere and convenient amenities. However, the unprofessional and dismissive treatment we received has given us pause about future stays. While one staff member doesn't define an entire establishment, customer service is crucial in the hospitality industry. I would strongly encourage management to address this situation through additional training or other appropriate measures. The area has many family-friendly accommodation options, and we hope this feedback helps maintain the high standards we've previously experienced at this location.

It's an okay hotel but every time we go, our kids get rashes from swimming and it's not like we live in the pool all day. We go twice for about 45-60 mins each time and they're covered in a rash. We stayed from Wednesday to Friday and had two poolside rooms and were the ONLY people there. They had a luncheon set up on Thursday and had it directly outside our rooms when the pool area had so many other options for this! We had 5 kids with us and couldn't even sit outside our poolside room with this lunch they had going on. My 2 year old was napping and was woken up because they were tearing the lunch down and being very loud! Not too impressed with them during this stay. Will check out other hotels next time.

The bed was terribly uncomfortable. Also, we called before the trip to request our 3 rooms together. They said it was.impossible and none of the rooms were together. The two familes who checked in before us were able to get rooms together. We were not; although there was an empty room next to them when we checked in. Same exact room. They easily could have put us together.

We liked the waterpark. It was good for school aged children. Supervision was up to parents, though, and a lot of kids had no real supervision. We lost some earbuts and had to move the couch to look. Big mistake! It was disgusting. Also, we had to pick up around the pool area to find a place to sit. Some kids took all our towels and none were available until later. Just some issues wit supercision and cleanliness, but still worth the stay.
