Those lucky enough to enjoy Kapalua vacations have a variety of interesting activities in which to partake. It's normal for visitors to opt for Kapalua hotels near the Plantation Course; if your trip occurs in January, you don't need to travel far to enjoy the Hyundai Tournament of Champions at the course. Conversely, if you travel when the tour isn't occurring, you can head out to play a round of golf on the course yourself. If you prefer more natural "greens," without the need to stop periodically to whack a golf ball, you should instead check out the Coastal Trail for hiking opportunities. If chilling out ocean side is your preference, however, simply head to Kapalua Beach, Fleming Beach Park, or one of the other five public beaches in the area.
Recurring Festivals and Events
If you intend to travel outside of the Hyundai Tournament of Champions event, you'll want to look into a Kapalua car rental. Many visitors opt to purchase Kapalua vacation packages in June, since this is when the Kapalua Wine and Food Festival takes place. If you show up a bit early, though, you can also check out the Celebration of the Arts in May; Hawaii Modern Luxury magazine listed this festival as the best cultural event in the area.
To enjoy these events, you'll first need to get there. Browse Travelocity to find Kapalua packages that can save you up to $537 by booking your hotel and flight together.
