Love the location. The staff were all very kind and helpful! Room with double bed for one person is great, just me, only there to sleep and refresh. So just be aware of the size of rooms - would have been a tight squeeze if I wasn't traveling alone. But everything else about the place was very good!

Only complaint was lobby bar only open from 5-10. Would have enjoyed a night cap after seeing a show. Totally understand hours are based on various factors. Juat thought it was worth mentioning.

A great place to stay

The Ameritania is a perfect location for regular downtown sightseeing, being within a few blocks of Times Square, Central Park and Broadway, and just around the corner from the Ed Sullivan Theater. The staff is friendly and ready to help with anything you need. The building and rooms are nicely decorated.

Ameritania Times Square

We stayed here for a long weekend to visit the AMNH. It was a great home base. Stylish and and very comfortable. They let us check in a bit early and had coffee downstairs in the mornings.

It's an easy and friendly stay in Times Square. It's clean and safe, and a great value, but the building and facilities need to be updated. The key cards often are finicky in the elevators, for instance, and a lot of the decor and hardware (door jams, carpets, fixtures, plumbing) felt either outdated or broken. I say this all with a bit of a heads' up, but for the price and location, I would definitely stay again. The staff were really friendly and helpful and it was perfectly comfortable for a couple nights.
