We travel and use hotels frequently for personal reasons, or medical visits. Candlewood was great. It was the cleanest and nicest we've been to in a long while. We will schedule to use this particular location in Jax, South point, whenever we are having medical appointments. We've been in hotels/motels of all types. Candlewood was clean.

Everything was great! We left a phone that belonged to my mother who passed away from cancer. It was very special and we thought we would never see it again. We contacted the hotel and it had been turned in!!! They allowed our aunt to stop by and pick up the phone for us because we had made it back to Ga. We truly appreciate the hospitality and great customer service not to mention the empathy shown while speaking to the staff over the phone. The stay was amazing and we will stay again in the future…

Jacksonville Vacation at Candlewood Suites

Had a great time! Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Room was spotless, bed was comfortable. Very quiet at night, did not hear any other guests. My only complaint ( very small). Was that most of the TV channels were the West Coast versions, while the TV guide listed East Coast programming. No shows listed per the guide were actually being shown due to the time difference

The worst hotel experience

We stayed for two days with our seven children, and we had two rooms. It was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I didn’t realize it was a pet-friendly hotel, and maybe because of that, the smell was terrible — the hallways smelled awful. The kitchen had rusty pots and knives. It claimed to be smoke-free, yet there were people smoking cigarettes and marijuana right outside, next to the reception entrance. Every time we got out of our car, we had to walk through that smoke and smell of marijuana and cigarettes. To make matters worse, my children went to the pool, and both my daughters ended up with infections. For my youngest, it was so severe that we had to take her to the emergency room
