The Neighborhood: Horseshoe Bay is an amazing community located in the Texas hill country and is about 1 hour from Austin, 2.5 hours from Houston and 3 hours from Dallas. One of the highlights is certainly Lake LBJ, as it is one of only 2 constant level lakes in the area. But Horseshoe Bay, has so much more to offer. There are over 8 golf courses within 15 miles. Fredericksburg and all the hill country vineyards are within an hours drive of the property. Horseshoe Bay Resort has become a large draw with fun events and concerts as well as weddings. Marble Falls is 15 minutes away and has a lot of the fun restaurants, bars and night life.
Getting Around: A car is required to get around Horseshoe Bay given it has a more rural setting. Our concierge team can assist with transportation needs if you require.

Great house
House was very nice and spacious. It has a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook and grill. The pool is perfect for hot summer days. One of the female neighbors was a Karen but that’s expected in Texas. Great long weekend at this property. Interaction with Karen is the only reason I gave a 4 instead of 5. POC be aware.

The house is tucked away in a very nice and relatively quiet neighborhood right on the lake. The layout of the house is great for kids and there is a bathroom with a bathtub if you have little kids traveling with you.
The kitchen was great. There were 3 kids on our trip ranging in age from 3 to 7 and we had everything we needed. We used the toaster, microwave, stove top, and oven and had everything we needed to cook 3 meals a day.
The bathrooms were nice and very clean. Towels and wash clothes were provided and great quality.
Pool is great, but you will need to do a good sweep before getting in due to large bug population near the lake.
Our only complaint about the house is that it does not stay cool in the afternoon or evening. When we arrived the thermostat was set to 72 and it was 79 in the house with all the window blinds closed. The rooms in the back stay relatively cool in the afternoon and that’s where we stayed most of the day when the kids wanted to watch TV. By early morning the house had finally cooled, but it was mostly unpleasant by the time Noon came around.
There is a swamp cooler in the master bedroom that helped a lot, but it was very loud so if you have trouble sleeping with noise this is not the room for you. The game room area was also a lot of fun, but is not air conditioned so it was uncomfortable for long periods. I’d suggest to install a swamp cooler in that room as well because the kids really wanted to be in that room more.

Great getaway for the family
We loved the pool time! And the layout of the home keeping the kids on one side, adults on another. Would love to see higher locks on the sliding doors, but love that all 3 rooms have direct access to the pool. A great place for families with older kids!

Nice and quiet stay in Horseshoe Bay
The house was very clean and the pool was great. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful with the exception of some home builders down the street but they were no bother. If I had to complain about anything, it would be that the a/c couldn't quite keep up with the 100+ degrees outside and the house took a while to cool down everyday. Overall, I had a great time and would consider staying here again.
