Hood River Hotel
"The Hotel was a unique historic hotel, it was charming. The Lobby is inviting, the little eating area in the lobby was only open until 3pm so unfortunately, we weren't able to try it. The lady that checked us in seemed a little put out, she wasn't friendly or welcoming. The others we interacted with were friendly. Parking was odd, staying there 3 nights, we had to insure we paid for parking each day by going online. The parking lot is next to the railroad tracks and it is a little trek uphill to get to the entrance to the hotel. We're seniors, so wasn't convenient, especially with luggage or packages. The room was comfortable, but it is old, so the bathroom was small with no counter space. The shower tiles were old and the floor was uneven. We stopped and bought a mat to ensure we didn't slip. The toilet seat was very low, seemed lower than a standard toilet. The room floors are uneven, I'm sure due to how old the building is, but it made us feel a little off balance when walking through the room. The bed was comfortable. The temperature in the room was comfortable. We paid for a river view, but we had more of a view of the railroad tracks, which had a lot of trains running through, especially at night. The TV was small for a hotel room TV. The elevator was old and interesting, but with heavy doors. Overall, we're glad we stayed to experience it but probably wouldn't stay again."
