OK, but no wi-fi in rooms, only in lobby. Surrounding neighborhood is slightly seedy. Close to bus stops and guests can use shuttle to Ala Moana.

"Nice hotel ,close to beach"
Even though there was a construction next door and the hotel is about to close for renovation, our stay was excellent. The staffs were very helpful and pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable. We were on the third floor and the noise was at minimum. The hotel location is excellent, close to the beach and yet far enough from the crowd, close to shops, restaurants so we didn't need the rental car.TV is a small one but we didn't stay in the room to watch it so it didn't matter.Beach towel check in/out was quick, never a problem.I look forward to stay at the hotel again when the renovation is complete, providing the price doesn't go up too much :)

Trump International Hotel Waikiki

"WOW- Great Value for Luxury"
My husband and I spent 5 days at the Trump International Hotel in Waikiki. From the moment you get out of the vehicle they are there to take your bags, greet you with Shell leis, better than flowers they don’t die and whisk you to reception. Every staff member we bumped into whether reception, concierge, bellhop or housekeeping was friendly and smiled. The room was WOW. Very clean with kitchenette fully stocked with pots, dishes, blender, toaster, refrigerator, sink, microwave and stove top. Everything you need to cook and enjoy your meals, plus save money on eating out all the time. Every room, from what I understand has a balcony and even with a city view, we had a partial ocean view. They made sure you had bottled water always on hand if you needed more it was a simple call to reception and it was at your room within minutes. There is also a small food truck lot next to hotel that sold local foods. We had a few meals there and it was good for the price. But get there early, they sell out fast. Pool is not very large, but perfect for wading. There is also a hot tub spa for relaxing in. The pool has a lot of lounge chairs some in sun and some in shade. I didn’t come to Hawaii to swim in a pool, but I did use the hot tub. There is poolside service with bar and food. I highly recommend the Mai Tai and the Lychee Mojito. Nicole and Tanja, pool attendants were so very attentive, friendly, and just made the stay perfect. Concierge was also very helpful, especially Mia

Ewa Hotel Waikiki - Honolulu Hotels

Ewa Hotel Waikiki

2555 Cartwright Rd, Honolulu - Map
Cons... The building is old and on a backstreet. One elevator, and the cleaning lady practically sounds off like a constant alarm starting at 8:am. (With her voice echoing through the corridor non-stop which is not so good if you are from a different time zone trying to rest). For some reason there seem to always be local guys sitting at the corners of the street all of the time. There are surprise fees or daily charges for DVD rentals, Wi-Fi, newspaper, and parking but parking is first come, first serve. Whether you use them or not, it could run up over $35 per day. Laundry is coin operated. The toilet seat is only about fourteen inches off the floor and only a few inches in diameter. Pro's...Awesome staff especially Mr. Etsu and Miss Dylan.

"Good for the Price"
Our room was a good size, comfortable for price. However, we return to hotel around midnight to find both elevators down we were on 9th floor. Asked for other accomodations due to the lateness, and was given another room until next morning when we could retrieve our belongings and check out.

"My Dream Vacation"
I had planned this trip for years and when researching hotels The Lotus had mixed reviews but there was just something about it that kept me coming back to think about booking there. I am so glad I stuck with my instincts. This hotel is amazing. It may not be right in the middle of everything but that's what made it perfect. The room I had was beautiful. From check in to checkout the staff was so nice and always made sure we had water for hydration and tips on things to see and do. Great great place. I will be back.
