Comfortable Stay

I had a very pleasant experience overall. Check-in at the front desk was easy, although it was a bit slow due to an issue with another guest's stay that temporarily tied things up. Once that was resolved, the process went smoothly. My room was clean, spacious for my needs, and well maintained. It came with all the basic amenities, including a microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker. Everything was in good working order and made my stay comfortable. I also had the chance to dine at the hotel restaurant, and the food was excellent—delicious and served in generous portions. Check-out was relatively quick. I did notice a daily parking charge on my bill, but the staff were helpful in removing it after I explained that I had carpooled with others and didn’t use the hotel’s parking. All in all, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend the Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo to others and would gladly return in the future.

What a great hotel. The best Front Desk staff and the best bartender in the lobby bar! Clean room and beautiful views. What else do you want. Oh ya Hilton points! Haha oh wait the morning coffee is no longer in the lobby where it’s convenient, and not down at the service desk a few miles away!

A good deal of construction is going on at the property and around the property. Not a great location for walking for shopping or dining. We were surprised with not getting the room we had booked and paid for in advance. We were given an ADA room that did not meet our needs at all. We had to live out of our suitcases due to no place to unpack and no counter in the bathroom
