Poor Air Quality

The majority of the room is pretty clean. It’s obvious that the little carpet they do have in the room is old and dingy. However, I did witness housekeeping leaving an empty room with a carpet cleaning machine, so I presume they do actually clean it. I appreciated the fact that the larger portion of flooring is not carpeted. Along with the bathroom. The problem I have is with the air quality. There is not an exhaust fan in the bathroom. There is an air vent in the bathroom, but it does not function. That’s a good thing though because it is caked in dust! The air conditioner is also caked in dust as well as broken pieces of the air conditioner itself lying right inside the unit. If only they took a few extra minutes to clean the coating of dust from these areas this review would have been much higher. Sure the price is low, but that should be due to the fact that the place is old. The bathroom fixtures are old. The heating/cooling unit is old. The linens and towels are basic and the towels don’t match, so sure the price can be low. Unfortunately, the amount of dust is a huge turn off. It far outweighs the free breakfast everyday that includes hot food, make your own waffles, and yogurt. For me a cleaner room is preferable.

The bathroom was a bit older and small but the accomodations were otherwise great. Staff was really friendly and accommodating. Very welcoming - would definitely come back for another stay.
