Hot tub was not hot. Room was the worst I’ve ever had: Dirty carpet and stained Bathtub stained and cracked Toilet stained Water pressure horrible Door to fridge coming off hinges No knob on wardrobe Tv very old and grainy, old box tv Couldn’t get out of there fast enough in the morning. We didn’t arrive until about midnight so no time to refuse room and look fir something else in the middle of the night. I have never complained or asked for a refund in my life until today!

Not the Pheasant Run of yesterday

So disappointed. The room was beat up—carpet taped in one area, stained and overall dirty. Sheet had a stain. Toilet leaked and air conditioning unit sounded like Flipper was splashing around in it all night. That being said the staff was exceptional but you can’t sleep at the check in desk. The place was glorious back in the day but right now the rooms need a million dollar makeover.

I would definitely recommend this hotel, whether you're adults looking for a romantic, fun getaway (Zanies Comedy Club is great) or with children, for which there are activities, arcade games and pool for them to enjoy. Fun all the way around!

Review of room

Pros: The people and the food was good
Cons: The HVAC in room
Location: The facility nice and is convenient to things to do, my customer and has nice amenities
The rooms HVAC was really noisy. The overall facility is in need of some updating, The food and staff were great. I have stayed here over the years and with "all of that said" look forward to my returning

Customer service

This hotel is nice on the outside, it has a 60's wooden lodge feel on the inside. Anytime someone walls down the hall, you can feel it in the room. Customer service is not good. Walked up to the counter to check in at 3pm, was told they had no rooms ready yet and to stand aside. I stood there in the lobby thirty minutes watching them check in people. Finally they see me standing there and decide I can have a room. The Hilton garden inn across the street looks a lot nicer and I know they wont leave you standing in the lobby.

Fun time with Family

My husband and 2 girls live in Geneva, one town over from St. Charles where this resort is located... Other than golf and spa we have never stayed. Last weekend we stayed over night on Fri and Sat. There was a large dance competition in and was very busy with kids but we had a great time. We booked a spring package so my girls got kites and other misc items at check in and they were invited to decorate the kites before flying them. This was nice for my husband and I because we had lots of options for the kids and didnt have to think about ""what should we do with them now"" We took them to decorate kites, played in the arcade and went for ice cream at ben and jerrys... It was so easy to please the kids it was like a total vacation for us. The girls loved the indoor/outdoor pool. After the kite flying my husband went to the driving range and the girls and I went to the spa for mini manicures and pedicures. We were all a little tired after that and went to the room to relax. We took the girls to the babysitting service and we went to dinner and then zanies. We didnt plan on going to zanies but there is a box office right there that you can buy tickets at... It was so easy. Great price for everything they offer there, we drive pased everyday and never realized.
