The staff was very friendly and attentive. Our TV remote was missing the batteries (apparently the previous person had taken them!). We had already gotten ready for bed so the overnight attendant brought them up to us.

When we arrived at approx. 9:00pm there was nobody at the front desk. It took about 10 minutes for someone to come out of the locked room that we knocked on the door of. Our room was never made up. When you pay $125+ per night the least that they can do is come in and make the beds and freshen up the room. All they did was replace a few towels.

Nice hotel, very easy to get to. Room sort of smelled like stale smoke but it had an extremely nice breakfast! We were shocked!

The room itself and the staff I interacted with were excellent but: the hotel is undergoing a major renovation. When I entered to check in there were several construction workers jack hammering the floor in the lobby. The clerk behaved like this was a normal thing and no big deal. The hammering stopped when I was checking in and resumed as soon as I entered the hall. There were plastic tarps everywhere. No hardhats, eye protection, or hearing protection. Left to conduct business and they were done when I returned that night but: no exterior lighting, signage and no parking due to construction trucks. They had a shop light outside the front door. Really not worth the rate and they should not really be open till these renovations are complete.

Close to wedding venue

Pros: the beds were nice for sleeping and the free continental breakfast
Location: we picked Holiday Inn because it was close to the wedding venue.
We went to a wedding near the hotel and picked Holiday Inn Express Pittsburg North because of the reviews and the continental breakfast. We also chose Holiday Inn because check in time was 2pm and the wedding was at 4pm which gave us enough time to freshen up and dress for the wedding. we would stay again. I recommend highly for the price..

Excellent Stay near Pittsurgh Zoo, CLEAN!!

Pros: Super clean, easy parking, pool, staff, everything
Location: Pittsburgh, Zoo, cosmic bowling, arcade, Galleria mall, dining
We stayed here 3 days. The accomodations were great, super CLEAN, and nice breakfast. Enjoyed the pool twice! Great location to RT28 south to Pittsburgh Zoo.
