Very unhappy with how our checkout experience went. Of course they hold funds for parking and incidentals— come to find out I am being charged for a “late checkout” manager said someone was in my room until 1:15 in the afternoon when I was clearly out of the room and gone. Manager was very accusatory saying it had to be someone else that was staying with me, it was myself and boyfriend who they could clearly look and cameras and watch us exit the building around 11am. Manager said someone else could have been given keys to my room, they give out multiple keys for certain situations and basically said it has to be him because it was a man in the room..Again explained to her I was given one set of keys— which I have on person currently with the sleeve because there was a QR code needed to get out of the parking lot where parking was already paid for. Very unhappy with how this was handled and being accused of someone being in my room. I understand mistakes happen but the way the manager just accused me instead of hearing me out was uncalled for. Only when I told her I was going to take it higher up did she offer to give the refund back and apologize for being accusatory and told her I wouldn’t wish to stay at that hotel again. Clearly someone made a mistake and instead of trying to sort it out I had to basically plead a case of being no where in a hotel room until after 1pm. Will probably never stay there again— plenty of other hotels in the Pittsburgh area.
