"We enjoyed our stay and really like the fact that this resort was affordable, so we were OK with some of the property's shortcomings. Cons: Sargassum - Thankfully, we were aware of the sargassum (seaweed), so we weren't planning on spending any time at their beach. It was smelly at their beachside pool as well, due to the sargassum, so we didn't spend any time at the beachside pool either. They have a hillside pool (not smelly!) that we hit up everyday for their BOGO 4-6pm Happy Hour. :) 18% Gratuity included at their restaurant- which, in my opinion, is the reason for some sub par service at dinner. One of our waitresses was horrible. My husband ordered fries for his side, he got rice. We mentioned it right away to our waitress, who said she'd bring fries right out, and he never got them. I had to ask for a refill of water, which I also never got. And then she got an automatic 18% tip. Room smell - our room had a pretty strong musty odor. Pros: Price - We got a great deal, and probably wouldn' t have taken the trip otherwise. Room size - LOVED the size of the room, which included a fridge/freezer, microwave, blender, glasses, silverware, wine opener, etc. Balcony - We loved our balcony and were happy with the ocean view!! Shuttle - they had golf carts to take you around if you were too tired to make the climb up the stairs. :) Hillside pool - beautiful and overlooked the ocean! Both pool bars had BOGO drinks during their 4-6pm happy hour! :)"

"Amazing ocean views, very clean, attentive staff. I would recommend a game room, pool tables, darts and gaming machines. Food was subpar but the kitchenette was a game changer! Security should be more focused on crowd control than guests. Overall I would recommend Bluebeard’s Castle in St Thomas."

"Breakfast was always fresh during my stay, and the staff was helpful and friendly. However, one thing left me disappointed. I had booked this trip for my honeymoon, but on the day I was supposed to fly out, the airline canceled all flights to St. Thomas. I called the hotel and spoke with someone at the front desk, who transferred me to the manager. I hoped they could offer some kind of accommodation or flexibility given the situation, but they didn’t. They said that because the room was held for me, it counted as a no‑show, even though I was fully prepared to travel and the flight cancellations were completely out of my control. It made an already stressful situation even more upsetting."
