"Quiet Luxury near Times Square"
The Lotte New York Palace is a wonderful luxury hotel quietly tucked behind St Patrick's Cathedral. The west side views on the upper floors are amazing! You look right down on Rockefeller Center and Radio City. The staff is very friendly and professional. I will definitely stay here again. The only negative I can say is the beds were not as luxurious as I would have expected. They were fine, but I have had more comfortable beds in much less expensive hotels. All in all, it was the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in.

"Perfect winter stay"
Pros: friendly attentive staff, room view, room price reasonable and location to public transportation, restaurants, bars. Cons: toilet made pressure noises every half hour/hour, down bedding (if you're allergic, let housekeeping know right away and they will accommodate), smell from horse carriage rides would probably not be too pleasant during the warmer months.

"Affordable Lower East Side Location"
For an inexpensive Manhattan accommodation, this wasn't bad. I stayed in a 6 bed, all female room. After having been in dorm-style rooms, I did really appreciate having an ensuite bathroom. However, the room was very cramped with 6 beds wedged in, and my roommates didn't have any respect for others in the room. One woman was using a computer without headphones until about 1 o'clock in the morning... Also no locked luggage storage, just place to put it in the basement.

"Great weekend getaway "
Great hotel in iconic New York City. Wait, cleaning and bell hop service excellent. Front desk a bit regretful, however overall did not hamper our adventures in the city. The temperature could not be set in the room below 65° and it was very warm to sleep, felt like 70° and made my last night listless.

"Best Hotel in the United States"
This is the best Hotel I have ever stayed at and now is easily my favorite Hotel in the United States. Everything down to the little things makes a stay hear magical even excluding the fact it was New Years Weekend. Their staff was polite and helpful and not a single bad thing can be said or mentioned about the ethic and pride these people have. Their concierge service is also top notch able to help you in any way from getting the car to telling you how long you need to get anywhere during anytime. I still cannot believe there is a Hotel out there with this style of comfort and customer service the trip seems so much more surreal because of them. On a parting note this was my girlfriends first trip to New York and I took her to everything from Central Park, Empire State, down to the Bull and Flat Iron building. We shopped in MACY's, her favorite store, for over 4 hours buying her anything she wanted. Her favorite part of the trip? The Pierre. If that doesn't say something I don't know what will.

"Central location"
Hotel is in a great location for lots of things to do. I think the hotel spent a lot of money on the lobby and not so much on the rooms. They have signs for reusing the towels in the bathroom to save water but the shower takes 15 minutes to heat up. I almost thought there wasn't going to be a hot shower for me! I think you have to request a floor where the boiler is nearby. Floor 9 might be far away. Overall we enjoyed our stay there just make sure to set enough time aside to wait for hot water.

"Many stays at a convenient hotel"
We've stayed at the Wellington many times over the past years, but one thing has always bugged me - they can't seem to get a reliable heating/cooling system. The sub-units in the rooms are always malfunctioning. This time the room was too hot on our arrival. Setting the thermostat on the unit and switching to "cool", the unit cycled back and forth from heat to cooling. The only alternative was to open the window to the safety position to get some cool air (it was 29 outside), and then get up in the middle of the night to close it once the icicles began forming on my body. My wife's only complaint was that there were not in-room safes. Overall, the Wellington is a pleasant, convenient place to stay. There is a great coffee shop downstairs, and the subway entrance is right outside the door.

"Beautiful Hotel, wonderful staff"
We came to New York to see a concert, but this hotel stole the show. The staff was wonderful, from the doormen at the door to housekeeping, everyone was friendly and eager to help with anything you needed. The hotel entrance is stunning, with classic luxury like the chandelier and the sweeping stairs up to the reception area. We had the Superior room, and while it's not the biggest in the hotel, they have lavished luxury touches to make it a great room. The bathroom also feels luxurious, my wife loved it. The tub was deep, great for soaking after a long day walking around the city. It even has night lights you can turn on from the bedside, great to avoid those stubbed toes walking around an unfamiliar room in the dark. Since I'm kind of a technology geek, my only suggestion for improvement would be to add USB outlets and conveniently accessible power outlets by the beds. Next time we come to New York, this will be at the top of my list for a place to stay!
