Always a pleasure to stay here. Rooms are a bit small but the lobby is so beautiful. The location is so convenient to everything we wanted to do. It is an easy walk from Union Station and close to theatres. We will be back.

"Multidimensional class"
The fully restored Reliance Building has gorgeous rooms and fittings, though a little tight. Bay window rooms off Washington offer a view of Pritzker Pavilion. Enjoyed the false door to our room harking from its days an office building. Atwood Cafe was also a feast for the eyes of Chicago School - healthy and tasty food, with a nice Irish Coffee and Blood Orange mimosas. The Front Desk staff were excellent, and we received a handwritten note from the maid. All around classy!

"Nice hotel!"
This hotel was very nice, and honestly, without the deal from travelocity, it would have been out of my price range. The hotel had the usual amenities PLUS complimentary cold water available with refillable bottles! That is a definite plus when you know you will be out walking all day. Though the neighborhood isn't super lively at night, it is very walkable to nearby bars and such. The red and blue lines on the EL have stops within 2 blocks. Very convenient location! Overall, I highly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Chicago.

"Perfect hotel for my conference stay in Chicago..."
I stayed here during the Microsoft Ignite conference last week. While it wasn't an "official" conference hotel, it was close to the other hotel shuttles, and nothing was lost in the process. The rooms are a bit on the small side, but they have a nice layout. You can even store your luggage at the desk to maximize the room space. The desk is comfortable for working, and they have outlets in all the right places. The staff was EXTREMELY friendly and helpful, and I loved that the Elephant and Castle pub was attached to the hotel. The chilled purified water (and bottles) available on every floor was a welcome site after a full day, and THANK YOU for having thermostats that turned down VERY low (like below 55!) I like sleeping in colder rooms, and that was perfect.

"Quiet / private, convenient to L, local businesses"
We arrived and found free parking less than a block away (there's a business lot that is available on the weekend -- during the business day it could take a little more effort to find a space). Easy entry to the guesthouse. The room is spacious with a nice little kitchenette and very clean, stylish bathroom with a great shower! Complementary water bottles were in the fridge, already chilled. We met Kate, the homeowner, in the hallway shortly after arriving, and again the next day with her daughter in the yard, and they are very pleasant and friendly hosts. While there is no "staff" on duty, they do have a good information notebook and leave a phone number so you can call with any questions or needs. I didn't have any because everything was perfectly in order. I don't write reviews much, so cutting to the chase, this was a great experience and we will stay here again when we get the chance -- please check my calendar before booking your stay :)

"This hotel was trendy and super friendly!"
Our stay at the W was wonderful. We were helped from the valet when we arrived to the moment we checked out. When checking in we were welcomed with smiles and received a perk since it was our anniversary. The room was cozy and had trendy decor. Everyone on the staff was super friendly and helpful. My husband and I would stay there again!
