Hotel Riu Palace Paradise Island - Adults Only - All Inclusive
"Super clean - all places - common areas, individual rooms, outside patio and pool area! I witnessed the cleaning crew wiping off the elevators, glass doors, even the light fixtures on a daily basis! Room-wise - white crispy sheets and towels, pristine bathrooms. The food was great - great variety and multiple stations - Bahamian style, Mexican, Asian, Vegetarian, typical American. I appreciated the choices of fish, fresh food, the cheese station. The restaurants with reservation required - were decent, but nothing spectacular. If you enjoy having people wait on you, restaurants are a great option, but I was a bit annoyed/felt rushed at times by the staff - our reservation was at 8:30 and by 9:20, they were already cleaning around you. With earlier reservations, probably you can avoid this. One of the best features - the pool area and the beach. For someone new to the Bahamas, the miles-long beach offered great walks and views. The pool area - always kept tidy, great bar-lounge, drinks, great music and activities (shout out to the pool staff!) Walking distance to Atlantis and shops. Why four stars: The service is inconsistent. Most of the staff is super helpful, efficient, polite, but at times (daily!) - distracted, not very friendly, and slow. It was not one individual person, but multiple - at the coffee station, dining area, reception desk, room service. Chipped toilet seat and bathroom mirror, older carpet, seating cushions, renovation noise from the hotel next door."
