Barton Manor Hotel & Spa, BW Signature Collection
"Clean or lack of. There were hairs in the bed and towels. One towel was covered in mildew and was disgusting. The whole place had a damp smell and seemed a bit down on its heels. I would not stay again."

"The hotel was very dirty, disgusting to the point of being unbearable. Usually I don’t leave bad reviews, but this was the worst hotel I stayed in across the whole UK. I am not sure how they have a license to operate as a hotel."

Doric Hotel
"We stay at the Doric most summers. Pros from this year's stay: Our room was spacious (2x double beds) Outdoor heated pool Indoor pool (although quite strong chemical odour) Food was good, big improvement on last time we were half board. Kids entertainment generally (first few days with new pair of hosts very good, however nights 3 and 4 were catered only to older kids and host was unhelpful and rude which was disappointing). Staff were helpful. Cons: Rooms very hot. Room on first floor was noisy due to entertainment downstairs. Lift is almost impossibly small and therefore busy. Room cleanliness could be better but not terrible."
