"The property is very quaint and very clean. We happened to have a party going on above us with loud music and lots of floor noise after midnight. That was rather annoying. The first day we were there, it was very hot. I understand that there is no air conditioning since there are few hot days. However, there was only one window in the room that opened. We had about a 3x1-foot area of screen for fresh air. There were two other windows that were fixed glass. In my opinion, those other two windows should be able to open for air. There was no way that you could sit and relax for a bit in that room. It was way to stuffy, even with the window open. We had driven three hours to get to Carmel, did things to pass the time (walked around, had lunch, and so forth) prior to being able to check in. It would have been nice to have a place to just sit and relax without being uncomfortably warm. I love the property. Again, it is very quaint and clean. The staff is fabulous. We would definitely stay there again. It just was very hot this trip."
