I stay here on every trip to Carmel/Monterey for three reasons: 1) Parking 2) Close to downtown 3) Reasonable rates The only negatives on this trip was no "Do not Disturb" placard available to use, and heavy footsteps above (maybe lack of sound insulation?).

Overall, the stay was okay. Check-in was easy and straightforward. Based on the positive reviews, my expectations may have been a bit higher. Breakfast opened later than expected, and the coffee the next morning seemed to be from the night before. The building is quite old, which shows in some areas. We also asked to switch rooms due to the room being very close to the street, but the front desk staff was not very accommodating and came across as unkind. With friendlier service and a few improvements, the experience could be better.

You have to love a hotel that doesn’t make you pay for parking and lets you have your own designated spot. They even offer free breakfast!!! I really enjoyed this place. It’s clean, the staff is great, and I love how affordable it is. I mean seriously what is wrong with hotels these days charging a month’s rent for two nights? If you’re planning a trip to Carmel and want a comfortable place to stay without breaking the bank this is the place for you.

The room was great. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The staff was wonderful. The breakfast was also very good. My only complaint would be that they didn't offer water upon arrival. I've stayed at a few other Inn's in Carmel that had a water station in the lobby. Which is very nice to have available upon arrival after a long drive in.

Very clean, fireplace in room, comfortable bed and linens, nice included breakfast, and the location is fantastic with easy walking distance to beach, coffee, restaurants and shops. Right next door is a convenient market and deli as well as a wine shop with many local wines. Great off season prices!

Warmer for scrambled eggs and bacon/sausage didn’t keep it warm. 2 mornings the yogurt was completely gone as were the pastries before they were refilled and the gal seemed annoyed that we asked if there was anymore
