"Nice and clean hotel with fantastic amenities. Rooms look a bit dated but the were very clean. Perhaps the carpets in the rooms could do with being replaced with a washable flooring. We were a little concerned that a dog had be left in a room on its own and was continually barking, so the reception staff were informed and the barking did stop a short time afterwards. Breakfast was okay but things weren't being replaced as quickly as we would have thought. The swimming pool was amazing really nice and very clean. All the staff that we spoke with were very helpful and polite."

"This is the second time we stayed at the Mercure Hotel in Exeter. The rooms are lovely, very clean, and everything you need in it. The bed and pillows are both very comfortable. Staff are all polite and helpful. Unfortunately on this occasion, the air conditioning had broken down as had happened to other hotels in the city due to the extreme heat. There was a fan already on in our room and we were told we could open windows and ask for another fan if needed. We were also given free ice cold water and complimentary drinks at the bar. Nothing was too much. I would definitely stay here again."

"Our 4th visit. Nothings changed still a great hotel in a great location with friendly staff Third floor this time and the room was a bit stuffy although there was a fan and there's nothing they can do about the weather."

"Clean room, but the shower needs some mould magic to remove all the black mould from the shower. We stayed for 2 nights and didn't get any housekeeping during our stay, which was a bit disappointing as we would've liked fresh towels. Good location and there is parking, although it did look quite busy. Didn't try the breakfast, as it ended at 10.00am, which we thought was a bit early for a weekend morning. "
