Disappointing stay

We were disappointed with our stay. There didn’t appear to be enough staff to manage the number of guests. We waited over 25 minutes to check in, with only one person on reception. After going to our room, we encountered an issue and had to return to reception, only to find no one at the desk. I asked for assistance at the bar and waited another 10 minutes before someone arrived. Breakfast was also a letdown due to the same staffing issues. We were seated at a table in a high-traffic walkway and asked to move to one of the empty tables further inside the restaurant. Unfortunately, we were told this wasn’t possible as they were seating the walkway first. The food itself was average—nothing special. While the hotel’s decor is quite nice, the overall experience didn’t meet expectations. I would rate the hotel 3 stars

Decor is gorgeous, beds are comfortable, great view from the rooftop bar. Our only frustration was that the entire area near the hotel is a maze of one-way streets and pedestrianized plazas. We parked near the cathedral and walked in as there is no parking on site

The staff were great: really friendly, helpful, professional. Love the decor and the touches that make this hotel feel special - not the usual corporate, clinical impersonal - the opposite. The bed and pillows were fantastic and I loved the fresh milk and restocked fridge each day. Definitely recommend.

It was our first time using the IHG chain, we stayed for three nights,first night was in a premium room,which was very nice and comfy, although a little dusty in areas! The second night was spent in a corner suite which was a fabulous room until it came to sleep,the noise from the air conditioning was deafening and we were unable to sleep because of it ,it wouldn't turn off and I had to go to reception and complain. Reception couldn't do enough for us ,but it meant that we had to move to a small room with a balcony despite paying for a suite, we were never offered a refund of any kind which surprised us ! Breakfast was an absolute disaster we tried three mornings to actually get breakfast but left without eating on two occasions along with two other couples,the staffing levels were non existent! Overall we liked the hotel very much ,but would not stay there again because of the disastrous restaurant and the debacle with the rooms! The reception staff tried their best but can only do so much! Staff need training and more staff would help
