"Checking in was a pleasant experience. Very modern decor, good safe location...we love the area and always try to stay in River Ranch when visiting. Beds were comfy. However, in Tru you hear every step on the floor above you and unfortunately the people above us had a running toddler who apparently did not have a set bedtime, because the running continued past 11 pm and began around 5 am. After putting up with the running, my husband went to the lobby to see if they could possibly call the room to make them aware of the disturbance...but was told they could not and would not call the room because those guests already know that it's "quiet time". [What?] I am sure the absence of carpet did not help with the noise. I thought no carpeting was a great concept, because we all know how much dirt carpet harbors, but...our room was not swept well and definitely wasn't mopped. We found out Sunday evening after returning to the hotel that there is no housekeeping service on Sundays, which is fine...I think people should be able to spend Sundays with their families, but we would have like to have been advised before leaving our used towels in pile on the bathroom floor. My husband went to ask for more towels & wash cloths, he was told he could not have more than 2 each. We picked up breakfast elsewhere since their breakfast variety was slim...I understand this was because of Covid. We will probably not be staying in another Tru by Hilton."
