Sunny View Lodge is your cosy rural retreat in the picturesque North Cornwall countryside, with panoramic views of Bodmin Moor.

Outside there's a terrace with charcoal BBQ, great for dining al fresco, raised garden area, ideal for sunbathing, and courtyard, perfect for enjoying the sunset with a bottle of wine.

Inside you'll find a fully equipped kitchen-diner, two bedrooms, one double & one twin, a living room, a modern bathroom and laundry room with adjoining secure bike/surfboard store.​

Sunny View Lodge offers tasteful interiors, blending country chic with more modern elements, with a brand new 100MB ultrafast internet connection!

Outside you'll find the terrace, complete with BBQ & seating, the courtyard & raised lawn areas, as well the front garden with panoramic views across surrounding farmland with Bodmin Moor on the horizon.

The master bedroom, Moor View, offers views looking towards Bodmin Moor. It has a memory foam topped double bed complete with Egyptian Cotton bedding, plush cushions & cosy throw. It also includes a Samsung 32" Full HD TV, wardrobe & chest of drawers which provide plenty of storage, spare linen & Egyptian Cotton towels, a full-length mirror & charming carver chair.

The second bedroom, Garden View, offers views of the rear garden, including the terrace, raised lawn & courtyard. It has two memory foam topped single beds with Egyptian bedding, plush cushions & cosy throw. It also includes a wardrobe & chest of drawers which provide plenty of storage, spare linen & Egyptian Cotton towels and a full-length mirror. Garden View is great for sleeping two - kids will love sleepovers in this room!

A fully equipped country Kitchen with dining area with seating for four. It comes complete with electric oven, ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle & toaster. There are plenty of pots, pans, cooking trays & dishes and utensils to cook with, as well as enough cutlery, crockery & glassware to serve it!

A modern Bathroom with bathtub & overhead waterfall shower with additional flexible shower & heated towel rail

The Lounge enjoys panoramic views across surrounding farmland with Bodmin Moor on the horizon. It includes a Samsung 46" Full HD TV plus Xbox One with games & DVDs. Alternatively, there's a fully stocked bookshelf complete with reading material & board games. There's a generously sized sofa with room for everyone!

The Boot Room comes complete with washer-dryer, space for ironing, as well as 1.5 bowl sink, and of course room for all your footwear.

A secure indoor storage space, perfect for storing bikes & surfboards, with outdoor tap to clean wetsuits before storing them on the on the pegs provided!

Outside in your own private gardens, you'll find a terrace with table, chairs & parasol, complemented by a charcoal BBQ with charcoal & utensils, ideal for dining al fresco! Raised lawn & garden area with plenty of space to sunbathe, Courtyard to enjoy sublime Cornish sunsets, with solar illuminated LED lighting to bring a whole new light to the space when dusk falls.

Fabulous and friendly

We had a lovely week at this cottage with our family and pooch. It was very well appointed with lots of delicious treats waiting for us on arrival, which included treats for our four-legged friend. The hosts couldn’t have been more helpful. Would definitely visit again!

Sunny View Lodge - North Petherwin.

We had a super stay at Sunny View Lodge. Hosts were lovely - really friendly and very helpful. Accommodation was excellent - couldn't fault it. Plus the ingredients for a Cream Tea, that had been left for us, was amazing. Will definitively return. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

An excellent retreat or base to explore. Excellent branded appliances and high speed broadband included. Thoroughly recommended for family or couple to enjoy together time with BBQ and garden out the back. Thoughtful Cornish welcome goodies too which were gratefully devoured.

The property hosts, Susan and Maurice are very kind and thoughtful people. There were some lovely food and drink items ready for us when we arrived. We also got some great tips from them about how to make the most of our stay in Cornwall. Our dog Alfie was also well catered for with his own dog bed, food bowels and treats. Sunny View exactly matches the marketing description and it was a real home from home and a peaceful base. We were blessed with some very sunny days so our holiday was fantastic. We loved Cornwall and Sunny View was perfect for us. Our hosts were great people to deal with and they are pet friendly too..

Thoroughly looked after!

We had a lovely stay at Sunny view, Susan and Maurice really went above and beyond to look after us and especially looking after our very hot doggies! The lodge was beautiful, clean and fully equipped . It was so secure even with 2 very inquisitive young dogs. Couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you both for looking after us and providing such a great base for our Cornish holiday!
