Beautiful hotel. Looks brand new. The beds are comfy, the rooms are spacious. The food, both evening and breakfast were delicious. The front desk people were friendly. All the employees went out of their way. We will definitely stay here again.

Dismissive staff & rude front desk.

We are extremely disappointed in the Iris Hotel. The staff is not very friendly and the hotel is dated. We booked a junior suite with breakfast. Our reservation included free breakfast. It clearly states free breakfast! However, when we checked in the front desk person told us we had a $56 credit not free breakfast. We showed him that our reservation said free breakfast and he completely dismissed us because we booked through Hotels.com. He was rude & did not try to resolve it in any way. Apparently at the Iris if you book through a 3rd party you are a second class guest. Don't expect any customer service. We knew that a $56 credit would not cover breakfast for two for two days. Sure enough the cheapest entree for breakfast is $14. Drip Coffee is $5. So $38 for one day not including tax. Our daughter lives in Brookline, so we thought this would be a nice place to stay. We were wrong.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the iris however, on the first night, we tried to dine in the restaurant. We sat for 10 minutes without receiving a menu or water and got up and left.

Bright spot in our uncertainty!

This was a last minute booking after our previous arrangements canceled day before. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by smiling, helpful staff and made to feel welcome. Parking was valet only, but the valet was so attentive and immediate it was well worth it. The rooms were clean and well appointed, and house keeping refreshed it daily. In easy walking distance to several food options, as well as the main subway/train line. Kevin and Miguel were so helpful and reassuring, as were all staff changes over our weekend here. Washing machines available in the same floor, and the restaurant staff was also very accommodating. Thank you, Iris Brookline. We highly recommend.
